Established in 2020, Lightridge High School Girls Soccer is a VHSL Region 5D program currently competing in the Potomac District. Spring 2026 saw another historic campaign as the Girls Varsity team earned program records for most wins (nine) and conceding only eighteen goals in eighteen games. Mei Skarnes (Class of 2026) broke the program record for most cleansheets in a career (ten), Liyaanah Ahmad (Class of 2027) broke the single season record for most goals scored in a season (seven), and both Lilly & Bryn Overbaugh (Class of 2026) broke the single-season record for goal-contributions (eleven).
Setting a new standard with the program's first ever winning season under Coach Rutan, the 2027 Girls Varsity Soccer team will return better than ever with a talented incoming freshman class and an experienced senior class led by Liyaanah Ahmad & future collegiate athlete, Haley Wilhelm (NCAA D1).
