GIRLS ROSTER

COMPETE WITH FAIRNESS

The coaching staff establishes the team's initial ladder.  The team ladder is adjusted based on the results of challenge matches.

Being a Senior or a Varsity player from last season does not guarantee a spot on the Varsity team.  The varsity ladder and positions are established every season via challenge matches.

Varsity Team: 11 players (3 singles, 4 doubles)

Junior Varsity: the rest of the players

Singles:  First, second, and third-ranked players.

Doubles: Since teamwork is important in Doubles, personalities/chemistry/complementary skills are taken into account.  Once teams are chosen, however, objective criteria for which position each team is in use.

Alternate: Players who might practice with Varsity but compete in JV matches.  If Varsity player(s) cannot compete in Varsity matches for legitimate reasons (illness, injury, etc.), alternate players will play in the vacated position(s).  Alternate players are the best players on the JV team.
