FTC Robotics Team 32095
FTC is a program that organizes competitive events, where teams design and build robots to compete in games. Through FTC, we are learning STEM skills like mechanical engineering and computer programming, and gaining experience with teamwork and competition.
Liger League formed as a new FTC team for the 2025-26 season. We are a community team (unaffiliated with a specific school). We have five active team members, two coaches, and a mentor. We are seeking new team members for the 2026-27 season, which starts September 12!
The 2025-2026 season's game was DECODE. The bots collect balls from the field and fire them into a goal, striving to keep them in a particular order for extra points. Each game is a 2-on-2 match.
We and our alliance partner (Team 27661 - Team Phoenix) placed first in the playoffs of the Kentucky East League, and third in the state championship.
We were invited to compete in the Run for the Robots premier event in Lexington, KY, playing with teams from all over the country and the world! Our team ranked 9th out of 36 in the Man O' War Division at the event.
Not bad for a rookie season!
As a new team, we chose to start with a kit. We used goBilda's DECODE starter kit, and continually customized its performance and behavior throughout the season. We enhanced it with new 3D printed parts designed with CAD, and we modified its behavior using Java.
For the 2026-27 BIOBUZZ season we will use what we learned from Napoleon to design and program a robot from scratch for the new game!
Liger League were the recipients of the 2025-2026 FIRST® Tech Challenge Hardship Grant. We are very grateful for our grant sponsors, who made our rookie season possible!
