LifeTrace Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LifeTrace handles information when you use the LifeTrace mobile application.
1. Overview
LifeTrace is designed primarily as an on-device personal life logging app. Based on the current version of the app, records, challenges, contact/member entries, and related photos are stored locally on your device and are not automatically uploaded to our servers.
If a future version introduces cloud sync, account services, analytics, crash reporting, or third-party integrations that process personal data, this Privacy Policy should be updated before those features are released.
2. Information You May Provide in the App
You may choose to enter or create information such as:
- Life records, notes, titles, descriptions, and timestamps.
- Challenge information, including goals, progress, and dates.
- Member or contact-style entries that you create inside the app.
- Photos you capture with the camera or select from your photo library.
LifeTrace does not appear to fetch your device address book automatically. Member/contact data is created and managed by you inside the app.
3. Permissions We Use
The app may request the following permissions to support core features:
- Camera: to let you take photos for records or member profiles.
- Photos / Media Library: to let you choose existing images from your device.
- Photo Library Add / Save Access: to save selected images locally when needed.
These permissions are used only to provide app functions you actively invoke.
4. How Information Is Used
In the current app design, information is used to:
- Create, edit, display, and organize your records and challenges.
- Link records with members/contacts and related photos.
- Store your content and settings locally on your device.
- Support offline use of the app.
5. Data Storage and Sharing
Based on the current implementation, personal content handled by LifeTrace is stored locally on your device. We do not state that the app automatically:
- uploads your records, photos, members, or challenges to a remote server;
- sells your personal information;
- shares your personal information with advertisers; or
- uses cloud sync by default.
However, if you use platform services such as app distribution, app store hosting, or device backup services provided by Apple, Google, or your device vendor, those services may process certain technical data under their own privacy terms.
6. Third-Party Services
The current app build does not clearly indicate active third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or automatic external data transmission for user content.
If third-party services are added later, this Privacy Policy should identify them, explain what data they receive, and state the purpose for that sharing.
7. Data Retention
Your in-app content is generally retained on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Retention may also depend on your own device backup settings and operating system behavior.
8. Your Choices
- You may choose not to grant camera or photo access, but some features may not work.
- You may delete records, challenges, members, or photos within the app when supported.
- You may uninstall the app or clear local app data through your device settings.
9. Data Security
We aim to reduce privacy risk by storing content locally where possible. No system can guarantee absolute security, and the security of data stored on your device also depends on your device protections, operating system, and backup environment.
10. Children's Privacy
LifeTrace is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through remote online services. If you believe sensitive data has been included in app content by mistake, please remove it from the device or contact us.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
