I was born in a Christian family attending Sunday services, and ever since I was a kid, I was taught numerous things about Jesus at Sunday school. But I never took God seriously. I considered myself self-righteous, I neglected God when it comes to my personal matters and I tried to solve them by using my own wisdom. I was just a regular attendee at church. And I hear sermons but I never tried to remember them. As a teenager and a student, things went down with stress and depression from school and personal problems. But it all ended at my 2nd year of high school, I was invited to attend in our church discipleship training. And as time went by, I grew up and my mind matured, I realized the true message of the gospel, that I was a sinner. That the sacrifice of Jesus wasn't easy to begin with. It was all for the people's sake; my sake, my life. I realized how naïve I was against God. I never tried to talk to Him, listen to Him, and it was all my fault. I went emotional at that time, and I remembered the teachings before on how to reconcile to God and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior; and I did that. After that, I realized the peace in my heart that only I could feel. And I know it came from God. Currently, God is using me in our church music ministry as a guitarist. And He also uses me in teaching children about Jesus. Leading them to know the Lord. And I still expect God's grace to continually change me for His glory.
