DES MOINES, Iowa — Just six Iowa long-term care facilities report COVID-19 outbreaks after more than 140 facilities reported virus outbreaks in November. The Iowa Department of Public Health on Wednesday reported 879 new positive COVID-19 tests and 27 additional deaths. At 10 a.m., the health department reported 368,632 total positive tests, 322,276 total recoveries and 5,601 total deaths since the pandemic began.
