Hello, and welcome.

My name is Jack and I love languages. I'm a native speaker of American English and my primary learning language is German.

I hosted live Duolingo Events (a free language learning app for those who don't know) from August 2017 until Covid 19 shut all available venues down in March 2020. Sometime in 2021, Duolingo launched a Zoom based meeting platform for virtual classes. I began hosting classes in February 2022 for German, and was joined by my co-host Ingrid, a native German speaker, a few months later. I added an English classes in November 2022. In December, Duolingo announced that they were shutting down their hosting platform and left hosts like me scrambling for a place to continue.

Thankfully, Ingrid and I had been using Google Classroom to communicate with attendees, so all we needed was a place to link those classrooms. That's the purpose of this website.

Ingrid and I will host classes separately now. All information about past and future classes will be available in the Google Classroom. It is our intention that these classes will always remain free.
