ABOUT

The college library has its beginning when the college was established in the year 2011. Since then, the college library is catering to the needs of a wide spectrum of users and has grown in terms of services, collection, and users.  It has built a rich collection of more than ten twenty two thousand books. In addition to issue and return of documents, the library offers various other services like reference service, current awareness service, reprographic service, selective dissemination of information, orientation, newspaper clippings, and external membership service. The library will have a spacious reading room and a separate browsing center. To keep abreast with the latest developments in information and communication technologies the library has initiated automation of the documents using egranthalaya which is under process and to be completed in near future. The library has its own separate interface(website) developed by the college librarian using google sites which keeps the students up-to-date. It also provides a virtual tour of various free e-resources and e-content on various subjects to the users. In addition to the physical collection, the college library has started subscribing to N-LIST and the customers are accessing it remotely using their passwords. Besides, N-LIST the library subscribes to some low-priced journals in print form. Also, a good number of magazines (subject-oriented/general) and newspapers (both local and national) are procured on every academic calendar.  It is proposed that the library will be wi-fi and RFID enabled as and when the college is shifted to its own building.
