What Does It Mean to be an American Library in a Post-truth Era?

Ohio Library Council Annual Convention & Expo 2017

This page serves as a resource for two events that took place at the Ohio Library Council Annual Convention & Expo that took place in Dayton, Ohio, in October 2017:

  • Making Reference Service Great Again presented by Don Boozer (Cleveland Public Library) and Bill Meltzer (Worthington Libraries)
  • Libraries in a Post-Truth World (an "UnProgram" group discussion forum) developed by Coleman Mahler (Worthington Libraries) and moderated by him with assistance from Kristin McCormick (Worthington Libraries) along with Boozer and Meltzer.

This site is comprised primarily of two pages:

Materials from the OLC Programs (slides, speaking notes, discussion forum notes, etc.)

We encourage you to explore the site, learn about what libraries can and are doing to combat truthiness, lies, and propaganda.
