Prof. Jianyu Li's lab is looking for motivated postdoctoral associates to join us to tackle clinical challenges in cardiovascular diseases and hemostasis. Given the wide spectrum of research topics in our lab (https://www.biomaterenglab.com), a broad degree of creative freedom is possible as well. The candidates will join the Department of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University. Research Projects:
Hemostatic biomaterials and technologies to control hemorrhage.
Biomaterials and surgical devices for embolization and aneurysm treatment.
Job Requirements: Ph.D. in bioengineering or related engineering fields; experience in biomaterials, biochemistry, surgical devices, cell and animal study; self-motivation and creativity; ability to prioritize and multitask in a multidisciplinary and team-oriented setting; strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Expertise and skills in related animal models would be important for the positions.
The candidates should be able to work independently and collaborate with researchers and surgeons. Responsibilities include cooperating with and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and presenting to the scientific community through talks and publications.
