Patti Digh is the author of 8 books, including the best-selling Life is a Verb, which was one of four finalists for the “Books for a Better Life” award. Both Life is a Verb and her next book, Creative is a Verb, were nominees for the Southern Independent Booksellers’ Association Book of the Year in 2008 and 2010. Her most recent book is The Geography of Loss: Embrace What Is, Honor What Was, Love What Will Be. Patti is the founder and host of Life is a Verb Camp, and has worked as a social justice educator and advocate for over 30 years. Her “Hard Conversations: Introduction to Racism” online course has educated over 8,000 individuals since 2015. In 2022, she launched The IDEAA Institute: Where Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, Access, and Action Intersect, a resource hub for individuals, organizations, and communities. Patti speaks all over the world about diversity, inclusion, mindfulness, and innovation, and lives in the mountains of North Carolina with her family of humans and animals. And her hair has gotten very long during COVID.
