Mark Ruben B. de Belen 

Hi! My name is Mark Ruben B. de Belen, most people call me Maru,  born and raised in the Philippines. I am currently pursuing my graduate studies in Chemistry at Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT). My academic journey has fueled my passion for research, particularly in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry.

My research centers on organic chemistry, with a particular emphasis on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of compounds for potential therapeutic applications. I also bring experience in computational approaches, including molecular docking, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, and ADMET profiling, to complement experimental work and provide further insights into drug development.

Beyond academics, I strive for balance in life. I enjoy traveling, pursuing new adventures, and envisioning a future where I achieve both personal and professional growth. My dreams include building a fulfilling career in science, and creating a life filled with meaningful experiences, strong relationships, and lasting contributions to society.
