I am a tenure-track assistant professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Clemson University, with affiliations at the Center for Human Genetics (CHG) and the Institute for Engaged Aging (IEA). I also serve as an AI advocate for the Clemson-Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) AI Hub and as a core faculty member in the Clemson-MUSC Biomedical Data Science and Informatics (BDSI) PhD Program. My work is centered on advancing data-driven approaches in health and medicine through interdisciplinary collaboration.
My research focuses on precision medicine, reinforcement learning, functional data analysis, spatio-temporal modeling, non-/semi-parametric regression, and sparse learning. I apply these techniques to challenges in imaging data analysis, statistical genetics, and public health, aiming to develop innovative solutions that enhance both clinical practice and population health outcomes.
