Legacy High School's Gender and Sexuality Alliance is a place for introspection, social justice, and community. We believe every student deserves to feel safe and celebrated at their school -- where they belong and can ENGAGE with like-minded students.
Legacy High School's GSA Club is devoted to making a safe, supportive, and open place for queer students to happily be themselves. We consistently work with staff members to improve school cooperation and involvement with the queer community -- a place for learning, growing, and sharing what makes us unique!
Club participants will explore identity and intersectionality, learn how to be a better ally, learn about LGBTQ+ history, listen to speakers, participate in workshops, coordinate Pride events at Legacy, and more!
Essentially, half of the club is dedicated to learning more about queer culture or the specific interests of someone in the group, and the other half is a time for socializing and learning from other students and their identities. Students can volunteer to lead discussions about anything that interests them: fashion, music, drag, arts, culture, and anything else under the sun.
Tuesdays after school in D206 from 3:15 - 4:15 PM
Everyone! Specifically, queer students AND allies. We are an open group without attendance expectations and hope to provide opportunities for students to improve school climate and express themselves safely when they need it.
