Privacy Policy — LG TV Remote Control: webOS

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the LG TV Remote Control: webOS app (package name com.hdytyldrm.remote.lg, "the app", "we") handles information. The app is published by Yildirim. Contact: hdytyldrm@hdytyldrm.info

Summary

1. Information processed on your device

TV connection data. To find and control your TV, the app stores the TV's name, model, IP address, MAC address and pairing key on your phone.

Names and favorites you set. Names you give to saved TVs and the apps you mark as favorites are stored only on your phone until you change or remove them.

Text you send. Text you type in the app is sent directly to your TV over your local network and is not kept by the app.

The TV's name, IP address, MAC address and pairing key, and the text you send, are never sent to us or to third parties. Uninstalling the app deletes the information stored on your phone.

2. Permissions

The app uses network access to find and control TVs on your local network. It does not request location permission. You can change permissions at any time in Android settings.

3. Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services. They may collect information as described in their own policies.

Google AdMob (ads). Shows ads in the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and ad interaction data. In the EU/EEA, you are asked for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are shown. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Firebase Analytics. Collects usage events (for example that a TV was connected or a feature was used) to improve the app. These events may include your TV's model and software version, which helps us fix connection problems. They never include the TV's name, IP address, MAC address or pairing key. In the EU/EEA, Analytics depends on the consent you give through Google UMP; if you do not consent, it sends only limited, aggregate usage signals without identifiers or on-device storage (Google consent mode). Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — Firebase privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, it sends the device model, Android version, app version and the crash log so we can fix errors. The report may include your TV's model and software version. No personal content is sent. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — Firebase privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Google Play Billing. Handles in-app purchases. Payment is processed by Google; we do not receive your payment details. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Adapty: manages Remote Pro subscriptions and purchases. Adapty may process an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription status, device model, Android version, app version, country and IP address. It does not receive your payment card details, and it never receives your TV's name, IP address, MAC address or pairing key. Privacy policy: https://adapty.io/privacy

4. Legal basis (EEA / UK)

Processing on your device is necessary to provide the features you use.

Personalized ads: In the EU/EEA, personalized ads are based on the consent you give through Google UMP, which you can withdraw at any time.

Firebase Analytics: In the EU/EEA, Analytics is based on the consent you give through Google UMP. If you do not consent, Analytics sends only limited, aggregate usage signals without using identifiers or on-device storage (Google consent mode). Outside the EU/EEA, usage data is collected without depending on consent.

Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reporting is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable. When a crash happens, the device model, Android version, app version and crash log are sent; no personal content is sent.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the app does not keep your data on our servers, most data can be deleted directly in the app or by uninstalling it. For data held by Google services, see Google's privacy tools. For any request, contact us at hdytyldrm@hdytyldrm.info.

6. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Security

Data processed by the app stays on your phone and is protected by Android's app storage. No method is 100% secure, but we do not transmit your TV's name, IP address, MAC address or pairing key, the text you send to your TV, or your location.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
