Privacy Policy — LG Remote

LG Remote (package com.joseph.lgremote) is a remote control for LG webOS TVs on your local network. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with data.
Summary
The app does NOT collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no backend server. All data it uses stays on your device.
Data stored on your device
To work as a remote, the app saves the following locally on your device only (Android DataStore), never sent to the developer or any third party:
- Your TV's network address (IP/host) and name
- Your TV's MAC address (used only to send a Wake-on-LAN "power on" packet on your local network)
- The TV pairing key issued by your TV
- App preferences (intro-seen flag, and whether the one-time "Pro" unlock was purchased)
This data is removed when you use "Forget TV" in the app or uninstall the app.
Permissions and why they are used
- Internet / Wi-Fi / network state, multicast: solely to discover and communicate with your TV on your local network and to send the Wake-on-LAN packet. No browsing or usage data is collected.
- Billing: to offer the optional one-time "Pro" purchase through Google Play.
Purchases
The optional one-time "Pro" unlock is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Payment is handled by Google; the app never sees or stores your payment details. The app only receives a purchase confirmation from Google Play and stores a local flag indicating Pro is owned.
App updates
The app may use Google Play's in-app update mechanism, provided by Google Play; the app itself does not collect data through it.
Children
The app is a TV utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect any data from children.
Data sharing
No data is shared with the developer or any third party. The only network communication is directly between your phone and your own TV on your local network, plus Google Play for the optional purchase/updates.
Changes
This policy may be updated; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
