Looking for suggestions...I'm able to put the remote into 'Pls connect in app. . .' mode, and I can see the remote in my iphone's 'other devices' in Bluetooth as being out there. It is Not Paired to the iphone...so it should be able to be found by the app. (lights on remote are flashing blue/green, so its ready to pair)

Smart remote access helps users create a virtual LAN (Local Area Network) in order to access remote devices on the internal network. It uses the Internet to create a secure connection between devices to allow server and system access, remote device access (point to point), file sharing, RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol), and more.

Checking your Mastervolt product has never been easierThe SmartRemote completes any MasterBus system. With its good looks and compact size, the SmartRemote is ideal as a remote panel in entry level power systems or as a local device readout in larger systems. Applications include boats, vehicles and stationary systems.

You can use a smartphone as the remote controller for this product, and shoot still images. Still images shot via remote control are sent to the smartphone from the product. The application PlayMemories Mobile must be installed on your smartphone.

I have a very similar problem with the remote. I use the H pin to 12V to turn ON & Off the charger and it worked for a while and now it does not. Shorting L & H does not turn the charger on either like it use to. The Engine Shutdown Detection Override option is OFF so according to section 4.4 of the manual, the charger should turn ON when H pin voltage is above 7V.

Strangely, if the Output of the charger is disconnected and reconnected, then the charger is turned ON regardless of the status of H or L pins. It also turns itself OFF if H pin voltage goes high...which is contrary to normal operation. This seems to indicate that the charger function still works but the remote pins L & H function does not anymore.

When I got my 43" Samsung Smart TV (UE43TU7100KXXU) back in October, the set-up was a breeze - it even detected my Xbox One console on HDMI1 and allowed me to control the Xbox menu functions with my Samsung remote control, something which I found very handy.

However, despite not changing anything, no software updates or anything of that kind, it just randomly stopped working. This has infuriated me to the point of doing a factory reset of the TV, which I did this evening. But the remote still does not work on the Xbox's menus and I am at a loss. I'd really like this function to work again, and I can't see anything on the TV settings or Xbox settings side in order to restore it.

I have been doing some reading about this problem I'm having (Xbox no longer able to be controlled by the Samsung TV remote) and I found the Universal Remote screen on my TVs menu, but having tried doing what the YouTube videos explain, I *still* cannot get my TV to work as it did when I first bought it. I don't think it needs repairing or anything like that, it's obviously just a setup issue, but I did yet another factory reset of my TV last night and tried to set up from scratch, and still can't get the Xbox to recognise my TV remote. It's frustrating because I can't seem to find or see any reason why it wouldn't work like it used to.

Hi, just been surfing the various forums and saw this post which resonates as I have similar problem with my smart remote which, after literally years of working without issue has suddenly decided to stop 'talking' to my BT set top box (still works with PS and Firestick though) . Infuriating isn't the word and, despite trying everything in the book (as per yourself), there seems to be solution to this issue. Really strange and frustrating....

We understand that remote control manufacturers may wish to use either all or a subset of the hardware and software features. This is supported in our design by modularizing hardware, firmware, and Host-side software.

One remote controls it all: Finally, you can get rid of all those remotes. This LG TV remote control can control your Blu-ray, Hit, set-top box and sound bar. Now, you can spend more time enjoying your entertainment.

The STEINEL Smart Remote (commissioning tool) gives the installer the ability to set basic functions of the entire line of the Control Pro Series of sensors via remote control. Simply download the free iOS or Android APP to any smartphone or tablet and connect via Bluetooth to the Smart Remote. Installer / commissioning agent can commission all STEINEL Control Pro and KNX sensors remotely with ease and convenience. The commissioning agent can save and reload commonly used setting profiles for repetitive commissioning of typical room types.

@user_f5b3a2 There is a legitimate issue with the Samsung smart remote and accessing the cable tv (not X1 Streaming) . I've found several complaints online with no good answers and when I called Comcast they (after speaking to a couple people) had no idea what I was talking about. It's something Samsung and Comcast should figure out!

Only the original Roku stick 3400 mhl version could be controlled via tv remote, no roku since can sorry. If the roku wasn't a stick, and received roku IR commands, and tv had a code for roku, then it would control the roku by IR only.

It would work if the roku you had accepted IR commands which NO roku stick does, they can only be controlled with wifi remote. A roku stick has a hdmi connector built-in, it doesn't have hdmi port for a hdmi cable. Roku Express & Premiere look like a stick but aren't, they accept IR commands and have hdmi port for a hdmi cable.

The Roku stick+ is the 3810, or 3811, suffix doesn't mean a thing. Never heard of 3180? Roku wifi remotes use proprietary wifi-direct signal. If any thing other then the roku remote would control the roku stick+ it would be by IP, the internet, which isn't RF or IR.

It can't, because the SS+ doesnt have any IR control and doesnt allow incoming CEC, and LG's dont use WiFi Direct for remotes - that pretty much eliminates nearly every avenue of control, aside from network based (such as ECP)

I am trying to connect my Samsung Bluetooth Smart Remote (2016) (no mouse function) to a RaspberryPi Zero W which then should send actions through IR or IP when a button on the remote is pressed.Sofar I've managed to connect the bluetooth remote to the raspberry pi zero with gatttool:

where XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX stands for the mac of the remote. Typing connect in the interactive mode then connects to the remote, when the remote is in pairing mode (press back and play for 3s).The connection sofar seems to be established successfully, the mac adress font is now colored blue and also bluetoothctl shows that it is connected to 'Smart Remote 2016' in blue letters.

But from now on, I don't get anything further. The next step I'd expect to establish a connection to the HID service of the remote and getting new devices listed in /dev/input and therefore be able to receive commands when buttons are pressed on the remote. If I right now press a button, nothing happens on my raspberry.

The best universal remotes can help clean up the clutter on your coffee table. Instead of reaching for one remote to turn on your TV, another remote to turn on your soundbar, and yet another for your streaming stick, a universal remote can let you control everything from one device.

The X1 has a built-in battery (there's a USB-C port on the bottom of the remote), but it will last for weeks before it needs recharging. I wish it came with a small recharging cradle, which would make things just a little bit easier.

There's also a bit of a learning curve to programming the SofaBaton U1; We've tested a bunch of universal remotes, and it took us quite a while to figure out the U1. Once we got things sorted, though, it worked pretty well. Check out the SofaBaton U1 if you're looking for a universal remote that's less than $50.

Let's face it: The worst thing about the Apple TV is its remote. It prizes form over functionality, which with its minimalist design, is a real pain. The Function101 remote may not look as sleek as the Apple TV remote, but it's a heckuva lot easier to use. And, its larger size actually makes it more comfortable to hold.

Logitech decided to discontinue making universal remotes, which is a shame, because it made the best universal remotes around. However, the company is still supporting its remotes for the time being. If you can find them at a reasonable price, it might be worth picking one up.

The Harmony Elite works in conjunction with the Harmony Hub (included), enabling you to hide electronics in a cabinet. It also works with several smart-home devices, including Philips Hue lights and the Ecobee SmartThermostat. It can be connected with Amazon Alexa, so that you can issue Harmony Elite commands using nothing but your voice. It's one of the best Google Home compatible devices, too.

More importantly, the best universal remotes can be programmed to control multiple devices at once. Let's say you want to watch a show on your Roku device: You simply press a single button on your universal remote, and it will turn on your Roku streaming stick, turn on your TV and set it to the correct input, and turn on your soundbar or A/V receiver to the right settings. ff782bc1db
