A Digital Game Designer helps create the visual world and experience of a video game. They may design characters, environments, objects, maps, menus, logos, and other artwork that players see while they play. Game designers also think about how the game works—what players can do, what challenges they face, and how they move through the game. They work with other artists, writers, programmers, and designers to turn ideas into a game that is fun and easy to understand. Much of the job involves creating ideas, solving problems, testing designs, and making changes based on feedback.
