Sangeetha Amit Kumar focuses her practice on IP counselling, patentability analysis across jurisdictions, patent drafting and prosecution.
Sangeetha’s IP practice involves interacting with inventors, screening patentable inventions, preparing patentability opinions, drafting applications, and preparing response to office actions.
Her expertise spans around multiple technology areas such as Communication Engineering, 5G communication Technology, Wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) Technology, 3Gpp Standards, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Wearable Technology, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Autonomous Vehicles, Machine Learning, Software application, and Electronic Devices. Her work includes prosecuting patent applications for Indian, U.S. and European office actions.
Prior to joining LexpertConsilium, Sangeetha has worked in full-service law firms in India. She also has experience working in an in-house patent team. Sangeetha is also one among the nationally selected recipients of the prestigious scholarship from Department of Science and Technology under their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) scheme and worked in Indian Patent Office, Chennai, where she was involved in preliminary classification of patent applications, formal examination process, and prior art searching.
Apart from IP experience, Sangeetha has experience working in Engineering colleges in India and the UAE teaching various subjects in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. During her tenure in teaching, she was instrumental in setting up new laboratories and conducting technical symposiums to enhance the learning experience of her students.
She earned her master’s degree in communication engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India, along with teaching assistantship.

Sangeetha works on multiple invention disclosures from DTNA that are related to automated driving technology.
