Lexora is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect minimal data and use industry-standard security. This Privacy Policy explains what (if any) information we gather and how we use it.
Information We Do Not Collect: We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, location data, contacts, photos, camera/microphone access, or any social media profiles. We also do not use advertising identifiers or track you across apps.
Information We Do Collect: We only gather the data needed for gameplay and optional features:
Game Progress & Stats: Your guess history, game wins/losses, streaks, and level completions are saved. By default, this is stored locally on your device. If you sign in, it is also backed up to our cloud (via Supabase).
Leaderboard Data: If you choose to participate in leaderboards, only your chosen username (alias) and score are uploaded to our servers. This is purely optional and requires your consent. No other personal data is shared; for leaderboards we store only what you have explicitly allowed (name and score).
Google Account Info: If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account’s basic info (your name, email address, and profile picture URL) via the OAuth process, solely to create or update your Lexora profile. This lets us show your Google avatar and name in the app and link stats to your account. We do not use this information for any other purpose or share it with advertisers.
Crash Reports & Diagnostics: With your permission, we may collect anonymous crash reports or performance logs to identify and fix bugs. These contain no personal identifiers, only technical details (stack traces, OS version, device model).
In-App Purchases: If you make any in-app purchases (for example, buying hint packs), those transactions are processed securely by Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit cards, billing addresses, etc.). Any purchase receipt or transaction ID may be stored only for the purpose of verifying the purchase, and this is handled in compliance with Apple’s policies.
How We Use Information: The information we collect is used to:
Enable the core game features and save your progress.
Display your alias and score on the global leaderboard if you opt in.
Authenticate and personalize your experience when signed in (showing your profile name/avatar and syncing stats).
Process any in-app purchases via the App Store.
Diagnose and fix technical issues or crashes (improving app stability).
Understand gameplay patterns to improve the game’s performance and your experience.
Data Storage and Security:
All game data is stored securely on your device using encrypted local storage (SharedPreferences / FlutterSecureStorage). If you sign in, certain stats and content sync to our backend hosted on Supabase.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with advertisers or third parties for marketing. Leaderboard names and scores, if you share them, are public by your consent.
In compliance with data protection best practices, we retain your data only as long as necessary. For example, anonymous crash reports are purged automatically after a short period, and your leaderboard entry remains only while you remain an active participant.
Any in-app purchase records are managed by Apple and are retained according to Apple’s privacy policy; we do not have access to full payment details.
In-App Purchases: Lexora does not currently require payment to play its core modes. If any premium content or purchases are offered in the future, they will be handled through the App Store. We will never see or store your credit card information. All billing occurs on Apple’s secure servers, and purchases are tied to your Apple ID.
Children’s Privacy: Lexora is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since no personal identifying data is required to play, the game is inherently COPPA-friendly. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will remove it immediately.
Third-Party Services: We use a few trusted third parties to operate the app:
Google Sign-In / Firebase: For authentication and profile management (collecting the limited Google data mentioned above). See Google’s privacy policy for more information.
Supabase: We use Supabase for cloud storage of your optional profile stats and leaderboards. Supabase’s privacy policy applies to any data stored there.
Apple App Store: For in-app purchase processing; Apple’s privacy terms govern those transactions.
[Optional Analytics/Crash Reporting]: If enabled, we may use services like Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports. These reports include no personal data.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy (e.g. Supabase Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy), and we encourage you to review them.
Your Choices and Rights:
Opt-In/Out: Participating in leaderboards is optional. You will be asked before your score is shared. You can opt out anytime in Settings to stop sharing your scores.
Access and Deletion: You can delete your Lexora account (and all associated cloud data) through the app’s settings, which removes your profile and stats from our servers. Uninstalling the app deletes all local game data on your device. If you need help deleting your data from our backend, contact us (see below).
Privacy Updates: We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use Lexora after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Contact Us: If you have questions or requests regarding your data or this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@lexora.app.
