Peer Tutoring

If you want to become a peer tutor, please fill out the form below.

The LHS chapter of the National Honor Society has partnered with the Learning Center (room 148) in order to make academic help more readily available to students.

There are two ways that students can receive tutoring:

      1. Students can drop by the Learning Center during any block of the day to receive help from student tutors. During most blocks, two to three students and two teachers staff the Learning Center. Underclassmen may go straight to the Learning Center at the beginning of their study hall period and will be issued a pass to return at the end of the block.
      2. Students who prefer help in a one-to- one setting may see Ms. Solomon, the Learning Center Director, who will match them with a tutor. One-to- one tutoring relationships last longer and provide more in-depth help.
