This Privacy Policy explains how LexiLock (“LexiLock”, “we”, “our”, or “the App”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the LexiLock mobile application.
LexiLock is designed as a focus and vocabulary learning app. It uses Apple’s official Screen Time APIs to help users temporarily block apps they choose and unlock them by answering vocabulary questions.
LexiLock is designed to work primarily on-device. Most app data is stored locally on your device.
LexiLock may store the following information locally:
App Settings: unlock duration, difficulty level, daily goal, question type, and similar preferences
Vocabulary Progress: correct and incorrect answer counts, learning progress, and last asked dates
Quiz Results: vocabulary questions answered, whether the answer was correct or incorrect, and related timestamps
Selected Apps or Categories: apps or categories you choose to restrict using Apple Screen Time APIs
Selected apps and categories are handled through Apple’s Screen Time framework. LexiLock stores system-provided selection data required to apply restrictions. LexiLock does not access your messages, browsing history, photos, contacts, or the content of other apps.
Signing in is optional. If you choose to use Sign in with Apple, LexiLock may receive and store:
Name: if provided by Apple and permitted by you
Email Address: including Apple’s private relay email address if you choose to use it
User Identifier: used to associate your optional cloud sync data with your account
This information is used only to provide account-related features such as optional cloud synchronization and account management.
If you sign in with Apple and cloud sync is enabled, LexiLock may sync the following app data to Firebase Firestore:
App settings
Vocabulary progress
Quiz results
Learning statistics
Cloud sync is used to help preserve your progress and settings. If you do not sign in, this data remains local to your device.
LexiLock may download public vocabulary word lists from Firebase Firestore to keep the app’s vocabulary content up to date. This does not require an account and does not include your personal learning data.
LexiLock does not collect:
Precise location data
Contacts
Photos or media files
Messages or communication content
Browsing history
Advertising ID or IDFA
Data for third-party advertising
Data used to track you across apps or websites
We use information only to provide and improve the core functionality of LexiLock.
