For most of her life, Nora was harassed, bullied, and even abused by Sons of Svanir. She lamented that they were allowed inside the city of Hoelbrak and repeated attempts to have them exiled from the city were met with opposition. Unable to fathom why her fellow Norn would allow followers of Dragon to live in the city, she began looking into ways of dealing with them herself.

She eventually began hearing whispers in her mind. The voice was comforting, caring, warm, like a doting parent. It promised to give her a way to deal with her problems. She followed the whispers, eventually falling upon an icebrood totem which imbued Nora with Jormag's power. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. And join 'em Nora did.

This had an unintended effect however, mainly that she was now unable to use any elementalist attunements other than water. On top of that, any water magic she used would instantly freeze into ice, effectively turning her into an ice mage. Of course, the Svanir were not too happy about Nora claiming Jormag's power for herself, and they attempted to put Nora down, believing her, a woman, to be unworthy of Jormag's power.

She proved them wrong.

Any Svanir that tried to kill Nora were instead slaughtered by her enhanced ice magic. She encased her foes in thick blocks of ice, leaving them to freeze to death. She perforated her enemies with spikes of glass-like ice shards, pinning them to walls and forcing them to beg for her mercy, which she gladly deprived them of. She laughed in their faces before silencing them forever.

During the events of the Icebrood Saga, Nora began desiring stronger opponents, and she decided to take on Jormag itself. Though she was unable to get a personal 1 on 1 with the ice dragon, she fought ever-stronger versions of its minions and won every time.

When the time came to fight the dragon itself, she joined the assault on Dragonstorm, where both Jormag and Primordus were subsequently killed. This had an unexpected side effect, as now without Jormag, Nora began to lose her power. Desperate to keep it, she impaled herself with a shard of corrupted ice and absorbed it into her body. This permanently corrupted her, leaving her with a nasty scar on her face.

With her lust for battle temporarily satiated, and her powers now permanently hers, Nora continued to train and become stronger. She currently roams the world looking for more powerful foes to test her might against.
