Dazzu was an engineer at the College of Synergetics where she attempted to create a device that can generate tools and weapons out of light, similar to holomancy but far more versatile. Her peers ridiculed her as she tried to perfect this device, jeering at her and reprimanding her, telling her that "hard light" was impossible. Dazzu, who had spent an entire lifetime suffering from bullying and ridicule, dedicated her life to showing up her despicable ooze-brained peers. She went as far as to attempt to join the Inquest.

She had submitted her device to them, but they rejected her. Soon she found out that Inquest engineers had copied her device and were reverse engineering it to use for their own nefarious purposes. Dazzu was furious, and she constructed a similar device and submitted that too. Except this device exploded when engaged, which wrecked an Inquest lab along with most of their experiments. This act of violence bolstered Dazzu’s love of explosives and weaponry, and encouraged her to continue perfecting what she had now begun to call the "Photon Forge."

Dazzu gave up trying to work with fellow Asura and made her own solo "krewe," where she worked to perfect her holographic technologies. Eventually, Dazzu finally perfected the Photon Forge and shipped the blueprints off to be replicated. These blueprints eventually found their way to Elona.

Her lifelong project now completed, Dazzu began experimenting with other forms of light manipulation in the form of optics. Among her most notable inventions are the prosthetic eye that she gave to Ella, and a unique light-capturing device called the S.N.A.P.
