Using GMS 9.3 - Trying to upload new firmware to our remote units (various, TZ500, TZ600 and NSA2600) each unit gets to 95%, pauses and then the upload fails with this message. Status: The firmware upload failed. This image is too large for this device.

Opened ticket 44103729, was never given an answer other than to call in, I called in met with a rep and they opened ticket 44107055, no resolution. Was told to "please try the firmware upgrade procedure from a different browser & incognito mode." which i did. Same result.

The ring network was down, they have been trying to fix the problem, had a message saying they are trying to fix it that was after 2lm this afternoon uk time. Mine is ok now, I have the green battery level.

I received an email (in my spam file) saying that Firmware Version 1.0.4.15 was available for my WAC104. When I logged onto the WAC104 it showed that I was at 1.0.4.9. I was suspicious already because the email had gone to my spam file, plus in Administration/Firmware Update it said there was no upgrade available. However I was able to locate the upgrade on the Netgear site following directions in the User Manual. (In other words, I didn't rely on the email in any way.) I downloaded the ZIP file from Netgear, extracted the .img file, and uploaded it to the WAC104. It took several minutes, then it asked me to log on again, which presumably meant that it had rebooted itself, but when I completed the logon it still shows the old firmware level (1.0.4.9).

Have you tried to clear the cache of the browser you are using? If not yet, kindly do it then access the web-GUI of the WAC104 and check if the firmware shows the updated version. Also, you can try using Incognito Mode in Chrome or use a different browser like Firefox.

I've used assembly to optimize some control loop code that got executed frequently, or to calculate sin(), cos(), and arctan(). But otherwise I'd stay away from assembly and stick with a high-level language.

Besides that, I think the unwritten rules of using assembly vs. a high-level language are more or less the same as those for desktop software development: keep the code clean, maintainable, and optimize hot code with machine language.

Assembler can be useful too, but only if you sell really gigantic quantities, and a smaller firmware means a smaller, cheaper chip (less flash) and the program's size is overseeable (read: there is some chance that you will get it bugfree in time)

I too saw the notice that there was an importnat firmware update. It took me awhile to figure out how to do firmware updates, but finally I was able to use the firmware update utility to upgrade to the bridge version of 65.59.11 jsut fine. Then when I tried to to the upgrade to 65.69.51 using the network method the firmware utilty appeared to work. The progress bar made it to the far right and then nothing happened. The finish button never became active. I then tried the same utility with the USB connection. At least this showed the 100% number on the completion level, but still the finish button did not become active and the printer display kept showing that the printer was being updated. After a long time I restarted the printer and it printed a shee saying that the update failed. Is there a solution to this firmware uprade dilemna?

I'm facing with the same issue, I followed all the steps documented and succesfull updated the firmware 655911_WC6515 but the installation of the version 656951_WC6515_E using FWDLMgr prompt an error after 5-10 min. It seems the upload works fine but the device can't apply teh update.

Confirm the same results with 8hrs effort to update using VersaLink firmware Install Utility v5.3.6.19. The only firmware I could find was from the WorkCentre 6515 Service Pack (PL7-R9) this is an encrypted *.BIN file and requires v65.59.11 or higher. Questioned update utility so selected a downgrade firmware that was unencryped which is the Bridge version Xerox recommends v65.59.11 and that installed fine so the utility works. Immediately after down grade after waiting for printer to finish processing the firmware update and printing its Upgrade Report and Startup Page I tried installation of the service pack Bin file (656951_WC6515_E.bin).

Any help would be grateful, seems the encrypted firmware is the problem, noticed there are options to specify passwords for the files perhaps whom ever compiled the encrypted *.bin file used a different PW than what is in our printers.

Exact same issue here. Won't update in in TCIP/USB Cable, or even USB Flash Bootloader mode either, essentially this firmware is faulty for the 6515. Have tried 5x so far, using the above methods and also re-downloaded and extracted the file.

I am unable to upgrade the firmware on a WorkCentre 6151DN from 65.66.91 to 65.69.51. Using the Windows Firmware Upgrade Utility, with an ethernet cable connected between the printer and router, the firmware appears to transfer fully, but does not let me click on the next button. After 10 minutes or so the utility states "fail to check updating. Please check the device" then "unknown to update". With a USB cable connected between printer and PC, the firmware does not appear to even transfer. I have changed the setting in the printer to make Ethernet the primary conncection and disabled wi-fi, then tried again but that didn't work.

I noticed recently that my Meraki firmware upgrades no longer appear to be scheduling correctly. I have an upgrade window on all of my networks and they all list an upgrade available, but none of them have actually scheduled the upgrade. They are all still on MR25.13 with an upgrade to MR26.6.1 waiting. It has been around a year since they scheduled an upgrade. I know I can schedule one manually, but is there a reason they stopped scheduling on their own? Thanks.

In general, when the new firmware upgrade is available for your network, then it will be available under Networkwide > General, once the firmware will be available then you will be able to see following three options (default behavior),

I see that the firmware is available and I can schedule an upgrade. My question is why is it not automatically scheduling the upgrades using the upgrade window? I understand it is not going to be aggressive in scheduling them, but it has been almost a year since an upgrade has been automatically scheduled. Is Meraki no longer using the upgrade window to schedule automatic upgrades and I should just schedule them all myself? Or is there something going on with my account that the upgrades are not being scheduled?

It is not supported to have your blades at a higher level firmware than your infrastructure, so you will want to upgrade the UCSM/FI/IOM before you upgrade the blades. Here is some helpful documentation:

It is not supported to have your blades higher then your infrastructure level. However, it is possible to upload the blade firmware version and upload your blades before the infrastructure. This is due in rare circumstances (to avoid certain bugs), however it is not recommended to actually run your blades on a firmware higher then the infrastructure.

Just to add a little bit more of information to my colleague's answers.. this is not supported unless you are running 2.2.4 or higher were we added a new feature called Server Pack where your servers can be at a higher level than the rest of the infrastructure

I am not sure if this is a mechanical error or due to the update, when I run a auto bed level the nozzle overshoots the bed on the back end of the print bed and then I get a mesh error, it appears that the A1 now is configured for a larger bed size. This also causes the bed to crash hard into the end stops on the front and rear end. Anyone else having problems like this?

I now see that if I bypass the bed leveling I am able to print, it appears that the 0 home point on the Y axis has moved around 2 centimetres to the back of the the print bed. The printer is also printing off the rear of the bed.

I just updated before seeing this post. This is the first time I am having issues.

Bed leveling only probes corners and centre.

Ran a print and had a failure. I cannot revert back since there is no info in the Handy App.

Can any one advise.

Thank you.

I am at a loss not able to explain this. I switched my A1 mini off for 1 hour switched on, ran a calibration and the y axis sensor fault went away. Loaded the speed bench from the SD card selected, bed leveling, flow calibration and AMS, went through all the motions and all is working fine. Bed leveling no problem and 9 min benchy printed in Sport mode almost perfect print with CR Hyper PLA.

It seems that my issue with leveling also went away for now. Printed the Metric Screw file on SD card and it did not level all points. Printed a STL file and same thing. Then printed the flute on the SD card and it went back to normal. All and all maybe 30 minutes passed from first file and one reboot.

I am aware of this. It has always checked 5 points and always performed a full bed leveling. I have always had very good first layer results , except today after the firmware update. After a couple of prints and a reboot, it finally did a full auto bed level. Not sure if this will be the case going forward, but I prefer a full bed level with every print as it has been doing for the last 3 weeks since it arrived. I would have reverted back, but unfortunately, there is no option to do so. No firmware history in the Handy app except what is currently running. I have no way to confirm it was the firmware, but based on my usage, it sure seems so.

hey there since the firmware up date my mini WILL not print first layer it just lays down blob of filiment ,plus it wont even stick to bed ,this thing isnt even 60 days old it was printing perfect till the firmware issue i tryed the handy app it says nothing in the firmware downgrade???i did a reclibration and nothing it wont even print anything that came on the included flash drive 2351a5e196
