Aerium/MCS Drone Bridge Inspection Partnership

This spring, UPJ will partner with local aviation consortium Aerium and regional manufacturer Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) to develop an unmanned aerial systems (UAS) bridge inspection initiative housed in the Jupiter Building. This collaboration will provide hands-on training and applied research opportunities for students in Skip Glenn's Advanced Drone Applications class, and workforce-focused solutions for regional infrastructure needs.

MCS Bridge Grid and Road Barrier Development Project

In a future project, Engineering faculty and students will collaborate with MCS on innovative bridge grid and road-barrier design projects that advance public safety and regional economic development. The Jupiter Building will serve as a hub for applied prototyping, testing, and industry-research integration.

Career & Technical Education Dual Enrollment Program

UPJ is developing a dual-enrollment initiative that will provide high school students with access to career and technical courses—offered for both college and industry credit—at the Jupiter Building. This effort expands pathways into high-demand fields, strengthens the regional talent pipeline, and introduces future students to UPJ’s experiential learning model.

AI Proficiency Training for Local Businesses

UPJ is developing a proposal to provide AI-tool proficiency training for employees and managers of local companies at the Jupiter Building. This program will help regional businesses adopt responsible and productive uses of AI, while creating new professional upskilling opportunities for the local workforce.
