Dear Pitt-Johnstown Alumni and Friends,
I hope this note finds you and yours doing well at this exciting time in Pitt-Johnstown's history as we look forward to our 100th anniversary in 2027. Thank you for your engagement over the years, and please continue to stay involved, including through giving your time, advice, and resources, which help us to prepare more students for successful careers and contribute to the economic and social vitality of our region.
Indeed, your support and contributions over the years have enabled UPJ to achieve many enviable distinctions (besides the numerous points of pride Pitt enjoys as a new Ivy!):
• Nationally ranked as one of the select "A+ Schools" that help students thrive.
• Popular, well paying, career readiness and practice-oriented programs (including rated a top 10 Nursing school)
• Excellent placement rates: graduates with in-demand job skills attain higher earnings.
• Top-notch contender in athletics and academic competitions.
• Ranked as a US News "Best College in the North" and a Top 5 "Best College for Veterans."
On the eve of the new UPJ century, we are poised to build on these accomplishments and to better assure greater success for our people. Please join us as we intensify strategic initiatives to enable more students of potential and promise to achieve their plans for personal and professional success, and to position them to live more purposeful lives that contribute to the public good. Towards these ends, your gift will make a dramatic difference, whether you choose to fund scholarships, improve facilities, acquire needed equipment, support athletics, and so much more.
I hope that you will consider contributing annually to help us build the endowment for scholarships and support critical capital projects, including renovations to first-year dorms, the Student Union, and the Owen Library. Or perhaps you will choose to support our efforts to improve our athletics facilities by renovating the newly acquired John R. Musulin University Center.
I welcome the opportunity to engage with you and I can be reached at PittJohnstown.PresOffice@pitt.edu or at 814-269-2090.
Please consider making a gift to UPJ today or renew or expand an existing commitment at upj.pitt.edu/give.
Once again, thank you for your support and commitment throughout the years and your generosity of spirit that is transforming lives in miraculous ways.
H2P!
