This privacy policy applies to the LetterGrid – Word Search app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by paysanndirect (collectively, the "Application"). paysanndirect is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
Information Collection and Use
The Application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. All puzzles are generated directly on your device. The only data saved locally is your gameplay progress — which levels you've completed, stars earned, and best scores per level — and your app preference (light/dark theme). This data is stored only in the Application's local storage on your device and is cleared whenever you use "Reset all progress" in Settings or uninstall the Application. The Service Provider has no access to any of it. The Application does not collect: your device's IP address; usage data such as screens visited or time spent; device or OS identifiers; or your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application does not use cookies, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, pixels, or any similar tracking technologies. No consent for tracking is requested because no tracking takes place.
Your Rights
Because all data is stored solely on your device, you have direct and complete control over it at all times: you can reset all game progress at any time from Settings → Reset all progress, and you can change your light/dark theme preference at any time within the Application. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, opt out of sale/sharing, and non-discrimination for exercising these rights. The Application collects no personal information, sells none, and shares none, so these rights are satisfied by design. Contact paysanndirect@gmail.com with questions.
The Service Provider does not send marketing communications and has no means of contacting you, as no contact information is ever collected.
Third Party Access
No user data is transmitted to the Service Provider or to any third party. The Application makes no network requests of any kind: all of its resources, including fonts and icons, are bundled inside the Application itself and load directly from your device.
International Data Transfers
The Service Provider does not transfer personal data internationally, because it never receives your data in the first place. Your data remains on your device, in your country, under your control.
Distribution
The Application is distributed through third-party services that have their own privacy policies about handling data: Google Play (Android).
Legal Requests
The Service Provider holds no User Provided or Automatically Collected Information, and therefore has nothing to disclose in response to legal process, government requests, or otherwise.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all use of the Application and remove all of its data by uninstalling it. Because nothing is ever transmitted off your device, uninstalling permanently deletes every piece of data it created — including your level progress, stars, scores, and preferences. No copies exist anywhere else.
Data Retention Policy
Game progress (completed levels, stars, best scores) and your theme preference are retained locally until you reset or change them, or uninstall the Application. No automatically collected data or server-side data exists. No request to the Service Provider is needed to delete your data — resetting progress or uninstalling is immediate and complete.
Children
The Application does not knowingly solicit or collect data from anyone, including children, and does not market to children. Because no personal information is collected from any user, none can be collected from a child. Parents or guardians with concerns can contact paysanndirect@gmail.com.
Security
Your data never leaves your device, which is itself the strongest safeguard available: it is protected by your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption) and is never exposed to servers, networks, or third parties.
Data Breach Notification
The Service Provider holds no user data on any server, so a breach of user data held by the Service Provider cannot occur. Should the Application ever begin processing personal data in the future, affected users will be notified in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Changes
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, notifying you of material changes by posting the updated policy with an effective date. Where required by law, consent will be sought before material changes take effect. Previous versions are available upon request at paysanndirect@gmail.com.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you consent to this Privacy Policy. Since the Application performs no data collection or processing requiring consent, no further opt-in is requested.
