This Privacy Policy explains how Lethal Ape Redux ("the Game", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects information when you play our VR game on the Meta Quest platform through App Lab or the Meta Horizon Store.

Data We Collect

When you use the Game, we may collect or process the following information:

Meta User ID – Collected through the Meta SDK and used for authentication and account identification.

Meta Display Name – Used to identify and display your name within the Game.

PlayFab User ID – Used for authentication, player data, and linking your Meta account with our multiplayer backend.

IP Address – May be collected and processed by PlayFab and other services used to operate and secure the Game.

Device and Performance Information – Meta may collect information such as device type, playtime, performance statistics, and FPS for platform operation and reporting. We do not directly control the information collected by Meta.

Voice Chat Data – Voice communications are transmitted through Photon Voice to provide in-game voice chat.

Voice Moderation Data – We use VoicePatrol to moderate in-game voice communications. Player voice audio may be recorded and processed for moderation purposes. VoicePatrol uses automated systems, including AI-based analysis, to identify potential violations of our community rules, such as racism, hate speech, harassment, abusive language, or other inappropriate behavior.

Voice moderation results may be used by the Game to take moderation actions, including temporarily or otherwise restricting a player's ability to use voice chat.

How We Use Your Data

We use collected information for purposes including:

• Authenticating players through Meta, PlayFab, and Photon.

• Displaying player names in-game.

• Managing multiplayer lobbies, player sessions, progression, and other online features.

• Providing in-game voice communication.

• Moderating voice communications and enforcing our community rules.

• Detecting inappropriate, abusive, or harmful voice communications.

• Applying moderation actions such as voice mutes when violations are detected.

• Detecting abuse, cheating, fraud, or unauthorized use of the Game.

• Maintaining the security and integrity of our services.

• Complying with Meta platform requirements and applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for newsletters or third-party advertising.

Voice Moderation

Lethal Ape Redux uses VoicePatrol as a third-party voice moderation provider.

When you use in-game voice chat, portions of your voice communications may be recorded, transmitted to, and processed by VoicePatrol for moderation purposes.

Voice communications may be analyzed using automated systems and artificial intelligence to detect behavior that violates our rules. This may include, but is not limited to:

• Racism or discriminatory language

• Hate speech

• Harassment or bullying

• Abusive or offensive language

• Threats

• Other violations of our community or voice chat rules

Based on the results of this moderation, players may receive moderation actions such as warnings or temporary restrictions from using voice chat.

Voice recordings collected for moderation are used for safety, moderation, rule enforcement, and related service purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Player account and gameplay information may be stored using PlayFab and other services necessary to operate the Game.

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through our services and rely on the security measures provided by the third-party platforms and service providers we use.

Voice moderation data may be processed and stored by VoicePatrol as necessary to provide its moderation services.

We do not intentionally collect information such as your home address or phone number as part of normal gameplay.

Who We Share Data With

We may share or process information with third-party service providers when necessary to operate, secure, or moderate the Game.

These include:

PlayFab (Microsoft) – Used for player authentication, account management, gameplay data, and backend services.

Photon – Used for multiplayer networking and in-game voice communication.

VoicePatrol – Used to record, process, and analyze voice communications for moderation and player safety purposes.

Meta – Used for platform authentication, platform functionality, analytics, and other services required to distribute and operate the Game on Meta Quest.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers, sponsors, or unrelated third parties.
