If you want one cable that turns a single USB-C port into both a headphone jack and a 60W charging line, choose LERTOSEN USB C; if you need a dedicated, MFi-certified 20W USB-C charging cable for AirPods Pro 2nd/3rd Gen, AirPods 4 or AirPods Max 2, choose Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd.
• LERTOSEN USB C — biggest strength: a 2-in-1 splitter that gives you a 3.5mm aux jack and PD 60W charging from one USB-C port, so you can listen and charge at the same time.
• LERTOSEN USB C — biggest trade-off: it is an audio adapter, not a plain charging cable, and it has real compatibility limits (no OMTP, no QC 3.0, no Samsung Super Fast Charging, no wire control or calling on iPad Pro 2018).
• Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd — biggest strength: a straightforward USB-C to USB-C woven cable built for AirPods Pro 2/3, AirPods 4 and AirPods Max 2, with an MFi-certified chip, 3A current handling and 480 Mbps data transfer.
• Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd — biggest trade-off: it does audio and charging for nothing but power delivery and data — it has no 3.5mm jack, so it can't help you plug wired headphones into a phone.
• Pick LERTOSEN USB C if you want to keep using wired headphones on a modern USB-C phone or tablet while still topping up the battery.
• Pick Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd if your only job is charging wireless earbuds and a modern iPhone cleanly and safely.
The LERTOSEN USB C is a problem-solver for one very specific modern annoyance: phones and tablets that dropped the 3.5mm jack. It splits a single USB-C port into a 3.5mm aux output and a PD 60W charging input, so you can plug in wired headphones and still charge the device at the same time. The brand also describes a Smart DAC for HiFi audio, a metallic grey finish and a body light enough (0.01 kg) to leave dangling from the port or toss in a pocket without noticing.
The feature list is broad on the device side. The data sheet lists support for iPhone 17/17 Pro/17 Pro Max, iPhone 16 and 15 series, iPad Pro 2018/2020/2021, iPad Air, iPad mini 6, MacBook Pro/Air, Galaxy S25/S24/S23/S22 down through the S8 line and Note series, Pixel 6 through 2 XL, and Huawei Mate and P series models. For a lot of people, that covers the phone they already own plus the tablet or laptop they'd want to use it with.
The trade-offs matter, though, and they're spelled out clearly. Calling and wire control will not work on an iPad Pro 2018. The calling function can't work on a phone that already has a 3.5mm jack. It doesn't support OMTP, separate microphone accessories, QC 3.0 charging or Samsung Super Fast Charging — only PD 60W. And it's explicitly not compatible with all OnePlus models, Amazon Fire Max, Go Pro, Switch or Moto.
So who should buy it? Anyone who refuses to give up wired IEMs or over-ear headphones on a USB-C phone, and who wants charging to keep running while they listen. Also a strong fit for in-car use: plug the aux end into a car stereo and charge from the same port. Who should skip it? OnePlus, Switch or Fire Max owners, anyone on an iPad Pro 2018 who needs the inline controls and mic, and anyone who just wants a cable to charge earbuds — this is not that product.
The Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd is a much simpler tool: a USB-C to USB-C woven cable aimed squarely at Apple's wireless audio lineup. The data sheet names AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, AirPods Pro 3rd Gen (2025 release), AirPods 4 and AirPods Max 2 (2024 release), plus iPhone 15, 16 and 17 series as compatible charging targets. It's rated at 20W with a maximum current of 3A and a 480 Mbps data transfer rate, and the brand says the Apple MFi-certified chip is what lets it deliver safe, effective current to the device.
Two design details stand out. First, the woven jacket and copper conductor construction — that's the kind of build that tends to survive being coiled into a bag every day, which is exactly how a charging cable lives. Second, the automatic current matching and multi-function protection the brand describes, framed around safe overnight charging. If you charge earbuds on a nightstand while you sleep, that's the relevant claim to care about, not raw speed.
The honest limitation is scope. There's no 3.5mm jack here, no audio passthrough for wired headphones, and no adapter role at all. It charges and it moves data at 480 Mbps — that's the whole job. The brand also notes a quirk: if you hit an issue, try flipping the USB-C plug and attempting again, which tells you this is a cable that occasionally wants the connector reversed.
Buy it if you own AirPods Pro 2nd or 3rd Gen, AirPods 4 or AirPods Max 2 and want a spare or replacement USB-C cable built specifically around them, with an MFi-certified chip rather than a generic no-name cord. Skip it if you need a headphone jack, if you're charging a laptop with high power demands, or if you want one cable that does double duty across audio and charging — the LERTOSEN covers that ground instead.
• Best for listening on wired headphones with a USB-C phone → LERTOSEN USB C. It's the only one of the two with a 3.5mm aux jack.
• Best for charging while you listen → LERTOSEN USB C. PD 60W passthrough means the charge doesn't stop when the headphones go in.
• Best for AirPods Pro 2nd/3rd Gen, AirPods 4 or AirPods Max 2 → Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd. The compatibility list is built around exactly those devices.
• Best for safe overnight charging → Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd. The MFi-certified chip and automatic current matching are the brand's core safety pitch.
• Best for travel weight → LERTOSEN USB C. At 0.01 kg versus 0.07 kg, the adapter is the lighter thing to carry.
• Best for data transfer → Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd. It's rated at 480 Mbps; the LERTOSEN data sheet lists no data rate at all.
• Best for broad device compatibility → LERTOSEN USB C. iPhone 17 through 15, iPad Pro, MacBook, Galaxy S and Note lines, Pixel and Huawei are all listed — with the OnePlus, Switch, Fire Max, Go Pro and Moto exceptions noted above.
• Best if you want zero compatibility homework → Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd. If you own the AirPods it names, it works; there's no OMTP or charging-standard fine print to check.
In my opinion, most people landing on this comparison should buy the LERTOSEN USB C, because it solves a problem the Abysssea cable can't even address: keeping wired audio alive on a phone that has no headphone jack, while still charging. The compatibility caveats are real — no QC 3.0, no Samsung Super Fast Charging, no iPad Pro 2018 wire control — so read them against your own device before buying.
If you're purely an AirPods owner, though, my pick flips. The Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd is the more sensible buy for AirPods Pro 2nd/3rd Gen, AirPods 4 or AirPods Max 2 owners who just want a dependable, MFi-certified charging cable with a woven jacket. Check the current price on Amazon for whichever one matches your setup before you commit.
It's a different tool, not a duplicate. A normal cable only charges; this one adds a 3.5mm jack and PD 60W charging through the same port. If you use wired headphones on a USB-C phone, it earns its place; if you don't, it doesn't.
It's rated at 20W with 3A maximum current and an MFi-certified chip, and the brand lists AirPods Pro 3rd Gen (2025 release), AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, AirPods 4 and AirPods Max 2 as compatible. It matches current to what the device needs rather than forcing a fixed rate.
Because of how the adapter is designed, not a defect. The data sheet states calling won't work on phones that already have a 3.5mm jack, wire control and calling don't work on iPad Pro 2018, OMTP isn't supported, and separate microphone accessories aren't supported.
It supports PD 60W charging and lists MacBook Pro and MacBook Air among compatible devices, so power delivery should work as long as your charger and port support PD. Note that QC 3.0 and Samsung Super Fast Charging are not supported.
Value depends on your setup, not the spec sheet. For AirPods-only charging, the Abysssea is the focused, no-guesswork option. For wired audio plus charging on a USB-C phone, the LERTOSEN does something the Abysssea simply cannot. Check the current price on Amazon for both and decide against your own devices.
