Elordi: "It’s just hell. Like, you cannot sit in a space of that much discomfort for that long."
Elordi: “Someone said that every human being is capable of murder, and I like to think of that a lot when I’m acting. It’s always there, it’s in your bones, it’s just figuring out how to get to it.”
Elordi: “I think my mum sees Nate as me.”
Elordi: "I used to worry a lot about what people thought about me, and about the kind of actor I was because of the movies I'd made. I just felt very corny, and I felt like I had to prove to everyone that I was a serious actor. I felt terribly misunderstood."
Elordi: "I don’t know if I had a hard set of goals, but it’s like breathing for me, it’s like religion."
Elordi: "Do the work. That’s exactly what I had written on my mirror above my bed, and it’s hard to explain because it’s just in your gut. It’s that thing of, 'If it’s there, you’ll know.' You’ll watch those movies and you’ll feel it."
Elordi: "I think I have a lot of admiration and love for old Hollywood and anywhere from the 20s to the 50s. I like the idea of wearing a suit to set or wearing it to work. I think maybe there’s semblances of that in what I want to wear."
Elordi: “I can see an edge of a cliff, and I’m just teetering on the edge… My fear is: What step can’t you go back from?”
Elordi: "Pretty much as soon as the show came out, I came back to my house in Australia, in the woods, and I’ve just been here the whole time. So I don’t really know. I’m taking it really easy."
Elordi: “If I’m going to be the King of the Fairies, I’m going to be the f*cking hottest King of the Fairies you’ve ever seen.”
Esquire Magazine: When Elordi was a child, his dad called him Jacob the Champion. "I would never stop anything, whether it be running or riding a bike up a hill," he says. The nickname still pops up in his brain like an inspirational Whac-A-Mole. "To this day, I will never, ever stop. Even if I'm in the gym or something silly like that, I can still hear 'Jacob the Champion.' It's almost to the point of an OCD, where I'm like, 'If I don't do this last pushup. . . .' "
