Carpenter: "I get inspiration from literally everything and anything. I take inspiration from people, relationships, stories, and I take inspiration from movies I see, books I read and songs I hear."
Carpenter: "I might not know who I was yesterday or who I'm going to be tomorrow, but I know who I am right now."
Carpenter: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. And if you do have to say it, make it really funny so I can screenshot it and save it for later."
Carpenter: "I have so many goals and aspirations that sometimes I lose myself."
Carpenter: "I feel like the more I work on different songs and the more I work on my voice constantly... I always feel better after I post a cover. Even if it's doing the little 15 second covers, I'm working on my craft, and it's really good for me, and I feel good after I do it."
Carpenter: "I live every day, day to day. I will go wherever life takes me. I'm not questioning it."
Carpenter: "There are a lot of things that people go through, and maybe they don't know how to get through it, and maybe you do, and if you have some sort of knowledge or power, share with the world."
Carpenter: "I'm trying everything. But voice work is the best thing you ever imagined. It's not about how you look, and you can go to work in your PJs."
Carpenter: "I've never paid too much attention to what other people have said or to what other people have tried to make me be. I've always just tried to be myself, which is such a weird thing to say."
Carpenter: "You need to experience life to be able to write about friendships, relationships, and heartbreak."
Carpenter: "That's just a symbol of how you should deal with a breakup. You can cry for a little bit, eat some ice cream, but I think, after that, it's like, get up, listen to some powerful music and do something that makes you happy, be productive."
Carpenter: "Confidence is the most beautiful thing you can possess."
Carpenter: "As long as I was well fed, I was a very, very nice child. I just used my imagination and played with Barbies. I was pretty easy."
Carpenter: "When I'm recording my album, I want to be acting, or when I'm on set, I want to be making music. I guess we'll see how it turns out and which one overpowers the other... but I couldn't really see my life without them, both of them."
Carpenter: "When I was 6, I opened my mouth and didn't stop singing. I had a voice and wanted to use it."
Carpenter: "Everybody takes at least 20, so even if you see a good selfie, it probably wasn't the first one. So my tip is to just not take it too seriously and have fun."
Carpenter: "Singing is about telling a story. When you are onstage, you get to be your own self... When acting, you're someone else."
Carpenter: "My focus is on music. I want to be able to see the world and meet fans everywhere. I think that's the priority for me and I literally couldn't be doing anything else."
Carpenter: "I was really scared to stay home alone when I was kid, and I would freak out whenever there was a noise after my parents left."
Carpenter: "What you wear onstage is a reflection of your artistry."
Carpenter: "Being body positive is really important to your overall happiness. It's hard to see someone with a 'perfect' body and be like, 'Why can't I be like her?' But that person was born to be who she is, and you're born to be who you are."
Carpenter: "I can't speak for boys because I'm not one! But I just imagine they think differently."
Carpenter: "I listen to music to when I'm feeling a certain way or to make myself feel a certain way. So why not make my own music inspired by true emotions?"
