Tilly: "I know actors are meant to say, ‘Oh, sex scenes are awful! It’s always a terrible day to have to get through,’... But I love sex scenes! Who wouldn’t love sex scenes? It’s an opportunity to get naked and fool around with somebody that’s not your partner. And all the people standing around… that makes it even more fun!"

Tilly: "Everyone said that if you want to be a real actor, go to New York. If you want to sell out, go to LA. And I thought - I want to sell out!"

Tilly: "I felt like I was suffering from the 'impostor syndrome, ... I had these niggling self doubts. But now I know I can really play. These women were extremely tough pros with blood lust at the poker table."

Tilly: "I guess I replaced somebody else, which I feel bad about."

Tilly: "I have never been with a man who has performed any kind of good cunnilingus. Guys always act really bored. It's like they're... doing you a favor."

Tilly: "I would rather be loved by somebody who respected me."

Tilly: "A way you can get really good abs in film is you get your makeup artist to paint shadows - faux washboard. But if you see me in a movie and I have great abs, it means I have a great body double."

Tilly: "Everybody knows that love goes away."

Tilly: "I had a problem with cops pulling me over all the time for speeding. When I was doing Hill Street Blues, the cops said how much they loved the show as they were writing me up; meanwhile my insurance went through the roof."

Tilly: "I still haven't made a film that defines who I am."

Tilly: "I have my cards read every time I pass a tarot-reader booth. I would be so embarrassed to have one of those 900 numbers appear on my phone bill, because I don't know how I would explain it to my business manager. It would almost be like saying, 'Okay, I'm white trash.'"

Tilly: "I won $100,000 in Vegas, which buys furniture for my beach house. That takes nerves. You can't think if I'm wrong I'll blow $30,000."

Tilly: "Not a lot of people have had this kind of longevity, and there’s not many parts out there for women my age that are as rich and varied. I get to have sex scenes and kill people and pretend to be a master criminal. I mean, can you imagine me playing a grandma?"
