Kim: “You cannot disobey the truth of life.” 

Kim: “When I was young, I by chance saw a phrase that my father had written down. ‘As though today is the last.’ I didn’t completely understand it at the time. I think it might have been a resolution to work hard and live every day without regrets. I sometimes think of that sentence.”

Kim: "I'm always trying to live each moment with no regrets and feel happier every day."

Kim: “I will try to always stay in good condition. Also, it’s my goal to create many opportunities to see BLINK this year too, as much as last year.”

Kim: "I may have a gentle image. But as an artiste, I want to show the world that anything is possible."

Kim: "Only when you truly understand yourself can you find a style that suits you. Then add your personal touches to really own the style. To be truly unique, you have to trust in yourself and yourself alone. Like me, I feel incredibly confident and brave when I wear Dior, and I hope that by sharing these experiences will help women love themselves even more."

Kim: “When worries and fears come up, I think it’s a good habit to not fall too deep into that emotion and instead quickly switch to another thought.”

Kim: "When working in a group, everyone has their place and a role. And when everyone settles into their roles, that's how synergy is born...when everyone is where they need to be, big things can happen."

Kim: "Even if the going gets tough, I'm reluctant to ask others for help myself."

Kim: “There will always be situations that can’t be solved easily, no matter how hard you try, so I hope you won’t hesitate too much. Also, we shouldn’t reproach ourselves too much over things we can’t easily change at will, and we shouldn’t regret things that have already happened either. It’s better to quickly brush it off and think about the next step and how it can be turned into a good situation, and the result will be better too.”

Kim: "If you think that something won't work but keep on doing it, it's foolish."

Kim: “There will always be situations that can’t be solved easily, no matter how hard you try, so I hope you won’t hesitate too much. Also, we shouldn’t reproach ourselves too much over things we can’t easily change at will, and we shouldn’t regret things that have already happened either."

Kim: “The moment when many people close to me and I are able to be happy together, I think that will be happiness that’s close to perfection.”

Kim: "I believe that true beauty is a manifestation of your ability to love and care for yourself. But it's not limited to self-acceptance alone. You must be ready to accept and respect the things that set you apart from everyone else."

[On what inspires her most]

Kim: "My family! Perhaps more motivational than inspirational as they are my biggest source of stability. Whenever I face any difficulties, I can feel the strength they've given me and tackle problems head-on. Their unconditional love means a lot to me; it encourages me and helps me push through anything."

Kim: "I don't cry."

Kim: “As always, I want to boldly take on new challenges without fear. Things can’t always go smoothly, but I will still do my best without regret.”

Kim: "I don't like Ariel because she left her family, gave up her voice and tail for a man. I like Jasmine because she has combat skills and raised a tiger by herself."

Kim: “Even during a busy schedule, we put a lot of thought into every performance about what BLINKs will enjoy as we tried new things in many fields. I hope that BLINKs will also remember spending an enjoyable 2020 after seeing the more diverse sides of BLACKPINK that came from this thought and effort.”

Kim: "To me, Korea is a passionate country whose people take pride in their culture and values. They're not afraid of facing challenges or trying new things, which is why Hallyu makeup adapts so well to the ebb and flow of trends. It's what we do best!"

Kim: “I don’t dwell on the past or the future. I do my best while focusing on this moment now, on the present. It seems to make me strong.”

Kim: "We've endured so much rigorous training together. From the moment we debuted as BLACKPINK, I knew that we would succeed as long as the four of us were together."
