Hendrix: "Pretty soon I believe people will have to rely on music to get some kind of peace of mind, or satisfaction, or direction, actually. More so than politics, the big ego scene. You know it's an art of words... Meaning nothing. Therefore you will have to get an earthier substance, like music or the arts."

Hendrix: "In order to change the world, you have to get your head together first."

Hendrix: "I found myself in too much of a box situation."

Hendrix: "As you well know, you just can't believe everything you see and hear, can you?"

Hendrix: "We want our sound to go into the soul of the audience, and see if it can awaken some little thing in their minds... 'Cause there are so many sleeping people."

Hendrix: "I want to get up in the morning and just roll over in my bed into an indoor swimming pool. And then swim to the breakfast table."

Hendrix: "You've got to know much more than the mere technicalities of notes. You've got to know sounds and what goes between the notes."

Hendrix: "I used to live in a room full of mirrors; all I could see was me. I take my spirit and I crash my mirrors, now the whole world is here for me to see."

Hendrix: "Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel."

Hendrix: "One time I said: maybe I should burn a guitar tonight. You know smash a guitar or something like that. And they said: yeah, yeah! I said: you really think I should? They said: yeah, that'd be cool. I said: well, ok."

Hendrix: "A girl asked me if she could comb my hair. Nobody can comb my hair, I can’t even comb my hair."
