Jennie: "The four of us started dreaming of sharing music to the world and creating something new for people to enjoy."
Jennie: "We want to become a group that many people cheer for and trust without bias, no matter what kind of songs we sing, or what stage we stand on."
Jennie: "There are many times when I get perspectives that I would not have thought of on my own through the people around me. It's meaningful for me, the process of working and putting heads together with good people. It becomes a good experience and a lesson for me."
Jennie: "When I pay attention to the little details, such as matching accessories to the entire outfit, I only get more confident on stage."
Jennie: "Since I have given lots of strong and charismatic performances on the stage, many people think that I probably would be just like that in real life. But many of those who have met me say that I have an aura of genuinely girlish charm."
Jennie: "When I have worries, I also talk with my friends and ask for advice. I am so grateful to have good people around me who always give me strength. Since I have to take responsibility for my own decision, I tend to trust my 'sense' and judgment and move forward on my own. Nevertheless, when thoughts are back to back, I organize my thoughts and mind before I go to bed. It's about finding peace of mind."
Jennie: "On stage, I like to portray my different sides as much as possible."
Jennie: "Through our work, many people around the world are getting to know more about Korea and our culture. But there is a heightened sense of responsibility as our music is influencing people from all over the world."
Jennie: "I am super shy. I was one of those people where I can't even order something on the phone. Like, I hated that."
Jennie: "Because the weather is nice these days, Han River is so pretty. It makes me feel comfortable when I take a walk with my dogs and watch the shining Han River under the sunlight. Taking a walk with the dogs and watching the Han River while enjoying the soft breeze, looking at glistening Han river in the sunlight makes me feel comfortable. "
Jennie: "I think by having solo projects, it allows us to expand our music range. There's a type of music and concept we can do as a group and do as solo artists."
Jennie: “It might be because I’m a perfectionist but I’m very strict with myself. That’s why I think I’ll never be satisfied with myself. Is there anything in this world that is perfect or complete? It’s a never-ending repetition of finding my weaknesses and developing.”
Jennie: "Music can be just one-sided if you hear it, but if you see it with a visual and an image, it opens up a whole new world. I feel like it's all connected."
Jennie: "I would like to say every moment counts for you, so make the time that you spend for your dreams a very special moment, make sure that you do something that you'll be happy with when you go back and look at yourself."
Jennie: "My style varies on my mood or the weather of the day."
Jennie: “I think it’s important to not get influence from other people, but only find the things that make you happy and suit you.”
Jennie: "We really want to perfect the quality of the stuff we put out, so we can be represented to the world as a K-pop group."
Jennie: "I don't want to let ourselves down, so we put extra time, extra effort into every single thing we put out. I think that's why it takes a bit of time for us, but we really want to perfect the quality of the stuff we put out, so we can be represented to the world as a K-pop group."
Jennie: "We have a special and strong teamwork because we trained together as teenagers and have grown together since then. Now, we can just look one another in the eye and know immediately what they need or how they feel."
Jennie: "I have a dark and sexy side, and I sometimes have a feminine, elegant side."
Jennie: "We think the friendship between us is a very important aspect for our group, and we try to keep that in a very naturally, like without love, we don't have to try too hard, but it's always needs to be there. So, we remind each other all the time that, when you're going through a hard time, we have the hard time with you."
Jennie: "My number one idol will always be Rihanna. She has everything I want to be."
Jennie: "Now, as an artist, I get to put a lot of my thoughts and my ideas into each project, which pushes me to think constantly. So, I guess if debuting was the goal as a trainee, right now as an artist I’m more focused [on] releasing something that I am proud of and will hopefully connect to everyone."
Jennie: "Fashion definitely empowers us as much as music does."
Jennie: "All the records are the results of our fans, BLINKs, and their unconditional support. Every day we try to acknowledge how grateful we are, but more than the pressure, we are ready to give them back as much as they gave us."
Jennie: "I personally don't like to draw a line between 'K-pop' and pop music, but I do think it is a good time for K-pop artists to be shown to the world, because the world is just ready for it."
