Palmer: "As actors we give so much of ourselves away so I like to keep my personal life to myself."

Palmer: "Life is way too short to be focused on scales, weight and cellulite. If you can look in the mirror and know that you're a beautiful, loving, friendly person who's good to people, that'll ultimately make you shine on the outside."

Palmer: "If you are having fun on screen, it shows."

Palmer: "I always have those feelings - lucky and blessed - and I don't know if they'll ever go away. I really hope they don't, as I think it keeps you grounded. That's how I feel about every film I do."

Palmer: "I love to challenge myself."

Palmer: "I think, for me anyway, music and film is where you can really transport yourself to another universe."

Palmer: "I know my parents are really proud of me, and they think I've become successful, so that's nice, but there's still so much I want to achieve in my life."

Palmer: "If you're being true to who you are, and the things you believe in, that is so attractive to me."

Palmer: "I'm a workaholic, I always try to fill my time with projects."

Palmer: "I was so dorky up until I was about 14 or 15 and started to get a little bit cooler, but I was a socks and sandals girl. I would wear big frilly socks with sandals and all the kids would tease me."

Palmer: "I'm very much into animal welfare."

Palmer: "I'd always dreamt of acting but, in Adelaide, we don't have exposure to the opportunities that make stardom a possibility."

Palmer: "I feel like if I ever got into some sort of rumble on the street, I will actually be able to defend myself."

Palmer: "I can't speak for anyone else, but in my case, I sort of fell into acting."

Palmer: "As for myself, I'm attracted to venture into places with peeling paint, and areas that are crumbling a little bit. It makes sense because we've already established the photography focusing on architecture, even if it looks incorrect, there's something appealing about entering that."

Palmer: "I'm a sucker for, like, an endearing man who's like standing in his authentic self."

Palmer: "I have to not take myself too seriously and I have to realise that if it is meant to be, it will be."

Palmer: "The nerds are my favourite sort of boys - any guy with a passion - whether it be physics or film or writing or poetry even, I think it's super sweet and it's very attractive for a female."

Palmer: "In real life, I'm always in tracksuits, and I never wear makeup."

Palmer: "As a producer you have creative control, and that's what is so exciting about it. At the end of the day, if you have made a film it's totally your responsibility, and if it works it's your responsibility and if it doesn't it's also your responsibility."

Palmer: "I've been incredibly blessed."

[On exploring darker stories]

Palmer: "I'm not really sure what the psychology is, but for me, I'm interested in it because it's such a juxtaposition to what is going on in my life with a newborn, as you can see. So because of that juxtaposition I'm really fascinated by it, but I'm equally terrified by it, and I think that diving in it makes me feel safer as a woman and a mother for some reason."
