Rowland: "Ever since we were little, we were so on fire for our dreams. We never let anyone blow our flames out."
Rowland: "We all come to the point where it's time to get yourself straight, as a businesswoman, a mother, whatever you are in life. It's tough love but it's also being real with yourself. It's important to take those rose-coloured glasses off and see what's going on."
Rowland: "Never give up on your dream... because you never know what the Lord can bless you with."
Rowland: "If you don't know your worth, if you don't know your value, if you don't know how fantabulous you are - it's going to be hard for other people to see it. Being appreciative of self is beauty to me."
Rowland: "Don't look at someone else and want to be them. Search within yourself and find out who you are and be someone positive."
Rowland: “Here’s the thing. Light attracts light. I am light, so I am a beautiful brown shining light, so I don’t think anybody’s light dims anyone else’s. I think that when other people start to compare you, I think that that’s when it shows you how dim they are of themselves. So I don’t take somebody else trying to dim my light anymore for anybody else. I love Bey, I know that she’s a light, but I know that I’m a light too.”
Rowland: "When you want something bad enough, you work your butt off for it."
Rowland: "When it comes to racial issues, I'm very passionate about young girls just loving who they are in their own skin. Because I remember going to an all-white school and being the only black girl in an all-white school, think - looking around me, thinking there's no one else here that looks like me."
Rowland: "Argh... I could be better with my time. I like to be punctual, but I could be better."
Rowland: “People only see things one-sided so I don’t like when they just put one person in one place, like, we shine together… It’s always been like patriarchy to me.”
Rowland: "Judge me if you want to. And as a matter of fact, it won't even count, 'cause the only person who can judge is God."
Rowland: "I think the most beautiful thing is that we're not parting because there were problems. We're parting because we're celebrating each others' growth."
Rowland: "I don't get hit on enough."
Rowland: "As women, we have to realize what we bring to the table. What do you want to do for the world? How do you want to change it? And when you know that, you don't have to compare yourself to anybody else."
Rowland: "I'm careful with my heart. I don't take crap from no one these days. I put my foot down. Being a woman, you deserve heaven and earth."
