Also starred in the films Masters of the Universe (1987), Red Scorpion, The Punisher (1989), Showdown in Little Tokyo, Joshua Tree, Johnny Mnemonic, and the Universal Soldier, The Expendables, and Aquaman franchises

Directed the films The Defender, The Mechanik (2005), Missionary Man, Command Performance, Icarus, Castle Falls, and Wanted Man, and co-wrote the second, third, fourth, and seventh; co-directed the film Diamond Dogs, and co-wrote the film Skin Trade

Also starred in all of the above. He holds a 3rd dan black belt in Kyokushin karate, and was European champion in 1980-81
