Kasparian: "I can't pretend I'm some robot that's always neutral. I need to share my opinion - and sometimes aggressively so."
Kasparian: "I'm not going to tone down my rhetoric, and I'm not going to censor myself in sharing what I believe to be the truth. People could either love that or hate that, but I'm not really interested in playing games in order to appeal to a broader audience."
Kasparian: "We need to boycott the mainstream media, and we need to go online, and we need to find credible news sources."
Kasparian: "It's really difficult for mainstream - let's say, cable outlets - to talk about things like income inequality, wealth inequality when the advertisers that are funding their shows are the same corporations that want to ensure that the same system continues."
Kasparian: "I do not respect Trump supporters, but I believe in being fair to them."
Kasparian: "Thanks to advancements in gender equality, you now have salty women like me who not only follow politics but also share their opinions on the daily."
Kasparian: "I've always wanted to do what I'm doing for the news, but I hate the idea of being some sort of celebrity."
Kasparian: "I'm seeing too much power being concentrated in the executive branch, and so our system of government is really in jeopardy, and more importantly, the overwhelming issue that we've had for a long time is money in politics. I see that problem getting worse."
Kasparian: "The great thing about the Young Turks is that we've always stayed true to our principles."
Kasparian: "Charter schools were supposed to compete with public schools, and in turn, that competition was meant to improve education. But that wasn't the end result."
Kasparian: "Income inequality and government corruption are both unfortunate realities in the United States."
Kasparian: "That's really what's kept me at 'TYT' even though I've gotten offers where I'd make a lot more money working at other media outlets: There's a value in making sure we inform our audience so they're responsible members of the democratic process. To me, that's more valuable than ratings or money or anything else you can get at these other networks."
Kasparian: "We look at individuals who would vote for Donald Trump as if... we kind of undervalue them. And we underestimated them."
Kasparian: "The sense that I get is that every election cycle, the mainstream press devolves more and more."
Kasparian: "One one hand, it's important to hear out the other side and try to reason with them using facts. The problem arises when we can't even agree on what the facts are. I've found myself walking away from debates when the person I'm talking to just won't acknowledge long-established facts."
Kasparian: "What's worse - loneliness or a relationship that inevitably leads to costly therapy sessions?"
Kasparian: "Men can be sex symbols and also earn respect for their professional accomplishments, and the same standard should apply to women."
Kasparian: "I always wanted to be part of the media. I knew I wanted to work as a journalist."
Kasparian: "There is this massive misconception that young people have absolutely no interest in the news. Young people definitely do want to be informed, but they want to be informed by people they can relate to."
Kasparian: "Income inequality has made having kids, much like getting a quality college education, a rich person's privilege."
Kasparian: "The only time the issue of abortion ever comes up - and you'll notice this pattern - is when there's a presidential election coming around. When there's a presidential election, all of a sudden, 'Oh my God, we care so much about the babies.'"
Kasparian: "Fox News is garbage."
Kasparian: "I don't care if you're Democrat. I don't care if you're Republican. We need to make sure that, you know, people in other countries don't have any impact on our elections."
Kasparian: "The point of journalism is to hold people in positions of power accountable."
Kasparian: "Colleges prefer to enroll wealthy students because they know it's more likely that they'll pay for full tuition without needing financial aid. They're also more likely to have parents who will donate large sums of money to the school. When the privileged students graduate, they're expected to join the alumni association and also donate cash."
Kasparian: "If you want an audience that genuinely sticks around, you have to listen to what their opinion is."
Kasparian: "It's laughable to claim the pro-life label while simultaneously putting people's lives at risk because you're too stubborn to acknowledge that Medicaid doesn't fund abortions."
Kasparian: "If all schools become privatized in the U.S., the poor wouldn't be given vouchers for 'school choice.' They would have no choices."
Kasparian: "I always imagined myself doing what Barbara Walters did on '20/20.' That, essentially, is what inspired me to go to journalism school."
Kasparian: "It is frustrating that religion in general includes components that treat women as a support system for a man rather than a leader or equal player in the relationship."
