Howdy!

I am Leo (Zexian Wang), a PhD student at the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University. My advisor is Professor Anirban Bhattacharya.

My research focuses on the theoretical properties of semiparametric and nonparametric Bayesian and quasi-Bayesian (approximate Bayesian) methods, including posterior consistency, posterior concentration and Bernstein-von Mises type results, and specific problems such as high-dimensional Bayesian model selection consistency under misspecification. Bayesian asymptotics have important implications on methodological aspects such as prior elicitation. Quasi-posteriors (or pseudo-posteriors), which are not defined based on conventional likelihoods, lead to quasi-Bayesian inference and possess attractive properties both theoretically and computationally, and my research also explores different pseudo-posteriors such as fractional posteriors, variational posteriors and selective posteriors.
