To Whom It May Concern,

Leontine Greenberg taught Ecology to my son Marvin, aged 10, during the 2020/2021 school year. I was so happy Marvin was able to have Ms. Greenberg as a teacher. Marvin really blossomed under Ms. Greenberg’s care. He was always excited to go to her Ecology class. He was not only eager to participate in class, and to complete class projects and assignments, he often wanted to do extra projects.

The class learned about other cities in the world that tried to replenish bee populations by planting flowers on the tops of bus shelters and buildings. Marvin was inspired to write a letter to the New York City department of transportation to suggest they do the same. This was not a class assignment, but an extra activity Marvin took on after learning about the topic from Ms. Greenberg.

The best skill Marvin learned from Ms, Greenberg was how to take class notes using Visual Notetaking. Marvin is not at grade level in reading and writing. He has a very difficult time taking written notes. Our family had never heard of visual note taking before Ms. Greenberg taught the class how to take notes this way. It expanded Marvin’s ability to take notes in all of his classes. He was so proud to be able to take notes this way.

I highly recommend Ms. Greenberg. Any institution would be very lucky to have her. She not only connects with her students, she inspires them. Please reach out to me with any questions.

Sincerely,
