If you want a complete wireless audio solution with Bluetooth 5.1 and integrated noise reduction for computer work, choose Lenovo LP40; if you need to upgrade the sound isolation and bass response of your existing in-ear monitors or TWS earbuds with graphene-infused silicone tips, choose PENON ePro EP01.
• Lenovo LP40: The standout strength is its all-in-one true wireless design featuring Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, dual microphones for clear calls, and a portable charging case that extends playtime. The trade-off is that it uses standard silicone earpieces which may not offer the same level of acoustic tuning or bass enhancement as specialized aftermarket tips. This pick is for someone looking to buy their first pair of wireless earbuds specifically optimized for computer use and sports.
• PENON ePro EP01: The biggest advantage is the patented horn-shaped nozzle design made with graphene-doped silicone, engineered to amplify sound waves, improve vocal clarity, and deepen bass without changing the source device. The limitation is that this product is an accessory, not a standalone headphone set, so it requires you to already own compatible in-ear monitors or wireless earbuds. This selection is for audiophiles or active users who want to maximize the performance of their current gear.
The Lenovo LP40 Pro is designed as a self-contained package for anyone needing a reliable wireless headset for daily tasks. At its core, this product leverages Bluetooth 5.1 technology to ensure a fast and stable connection with low power consumption. This makes it particularly suitable for users who need to stay connected to their computer, laptop, or tablet without dealing with the lag or dropouts common in older wireless standards. The inclusion of AAC and SBC audio decoding supports high-fidelity sound reproduction through a 13mm dual-frequency moving coil unit, meaning you will hear distinct details in music and voice content alike.
For professionals working from home or students attending online classes, the built-in microphone on both earbuds is a critical feature. The system utilizes intelligent noise reduction to filter out background interference, ensuring your voice comes through clearly during stereo mode calls. Whether you are on a video conference or listening to a lecture, the semi-in-ear design provides a snug fit that stays secure during movement. The touch control interface allows you to manage media playback, answer calls, or activate your voice assistant without pressing physical buttons, reducing pressure on the ear canal and offering a more seamless experience.
Battery life is another area where this model stands out for its category. Each earbud houses a 30mAh battery that delivers up to 5 hours of continuous music time. When paired with the 250mAh charging case, the total capacity ensures you can charge and store the earbuds easily, extending the overall usage window significantly. The case itself weighs only 36 grams, making it extremely portable for travel or commuting. Charging is straightforward, with the earbuds reaching full capacity in approximately 1.5 hours. If you are searching for the best rechargeable open ear earbuds for computer setups that also double as sports headphones, the LP40 offers a balanced approach with a wide compatibility range covering phones, tablets, and laptops via a 10-meter wireless range.

However, potential buyers should note that while the fit is comfortable, it relies on the standard rounded tip shape included in the box. Additionally, the product does not support multipoint connectivity between multiple devices simultaneously based on the provided specifications, meaning you would need to manually disconnect from one device to connect to another.
The PENON ePro EP01 serves a completely different purpose than a standalone headphone set. It is a premium replacement ear tip kit designed to transform the acoustic performance of your existing in-ear monitors (IEMs) or wireless earbuds. The core innovation lies in the patented horn-shaped nozzle design, which is crafted from high-quality silicone doped with graphene. This material combination is not just about durability; it actively enhances the specific timbre of your audio. By minimizing the loss of sound through transmission, these tips allow sound waves to resonate within the nozzle structure and spread out, effectively amplifying the voice and enriching the audio profile.
This product is ideal for listeners who feel their current earbuds lack depth in the bass or clarity in the vocals. The horn-shaped geometry is engineered to improve sound quality by enhancing bass response and delivering crisp vocals while maintaining high-frequency clarity. Unlike regular silicone or foam tips that might absorb some energy, these tips are designed to demonstrate the true advantages of the earphones they are attached to. For users who engage in long listening sessions, whether for gaming, music production, or casual streaming, the graphene-infused silicone reduces ear fatigue. The soft material ensures a snug, secure fit that remains stable during movement, making them excellent for active users who need their audio gear to keep up with a workout or commute.
Compatibility is broad, covering a wide range of in-ear monitors and wireless earbuds. The inner nozzle diameter is specified as 4.7mm, fitting tube diameters ranging from 4.9mm to 7mm. This means they work with many popular models from various brands, including ISN/PENON wired IEMs and Bluetooth sports earphones. The kit includes three pairs of tips in small, medium, and large sizes, allowing you to find the perfect seal for your unique ear anatomy. A washable and flexible construction ensures that the tips can withstand intense use and maintain their integrity over time, providing a cost-effective way to upgrade your audio setup without purchasing a new pair of headphones.
It is crucial to understand that the PENON ePro EP01 is not a "best with microphone bluetooth headset for computer" solution on its own. It does not contain a driver, a battery, or a microphone. It is purely an acoustic modification tool. If you are looking for a ready-to-use device, this product will not meet your needs. However, if you already own a pair of earbuds that you love but wish had better noise isolation or a more dynamic soundstage, this accessory offers a tangible upgrade path. The design focuses entirely on improving the mechanical transmission of sound from the nozzle to the ear canal, leveraging physics and material science rather than electronics.

After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the Lenovo LP40 if my goal was to acquire a new device for computer use. The comprehensive feature set, including Bluetooth 5.1, built-in noise reduction, and a portable charging case, makes it a practical choice for anyone needing a primary audio device for work, study, or exercise. It solves the problem of finding a reliable, all-in-one wireless headset.
Conversely, I would recommend the PENON ePro EP01 only to a user who already owns a high-quality pair of in-ear monitors and feels they are holding back from their full potential. In my opinion, the graphene-doped horn tips are a clever engineering solution for audiophiles, but they cannot replace the functionality of a complete headset.
