This week at work, like most weeks, was uneventful. You spent your days ironing out a particularly hard programming problem and chatting with coworkers, including the new hire. This new hire, a woman in her 20s, has been hired at the Lead Developer level. You have been really interested in becoming a Lead Developer for years, but about a decade ago your company changed the requirements to include a Bachelor's degree. When you got into this field, there weren't even that many options to get Bachelor's degrees in computer science, and it certainly wasn't a requirement.
Anyway, it's Saturday morning now, and like most Saturdays you're with your wife watching your favorite Saturday morning news program. During one of the ad breaks, this ad for a university called Strayer comes on. After watching it, you think to yourself... should I contact this university? It might help me move up in my organization...
