Greek Owl Word Game ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting the privacy of all our users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information.

1. No Collection of Personal Information

We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) from our users. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Names

• Email addresses

• Phone numbers

• Physical addresses

• Device IDs or IP addresses in a way that identifies a specific user.

2. Local Data Storage

The App stores game progress (such as "correct" and "wrong" word counts) and custom word lists locally on your device using an internal database (Room). This data is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide its features, the App interacts with the following services:

• Wiktionary (Wikimedia Foundation): The App fetches word definitions and etymologies from el.wiktionary.org. No personal data is sent during these requests.

• nso.gr:  The App fetches a daily list of words from our public API. No personal data is collected or stored by this service.

• Voice Features (Speech-to-Text): The App uses the device's built-in Speech Recognition system to help with word learning. Audio data is processed by the system (e.g., Google Speech Services) and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted by the App itself.

4. No Advertising and No Analytics

• No Ads: The App does not contain any advertisements.

• No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics (like Firebase Analytics or Facebook SDK) to track user behavior or create profiles.

5. COPPA and GDPR-K Compliance

We are fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since we do not collect any personal information from any user, including children under 13, no parental consent is required for the collection of data because no such data is collected.

6. Permissions

The App may request the Microphone permission solely to enable the Speech-to-Text feature. This permission is used only when the user interacts with the voice button, and no audio is ever stored or shared by the App.
