Leila A. R. Pereira

Hello! My name is Leila Pereira, and I am an Assistant Professor at the Economics Department of the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP). I am also an Associate Researcher and Executive Coordinator at Rede PP&S – Rede de Pesquisa em Produtividade & Sustentabilidade, an interinstitutional research network.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Insper, and my research interests include Development Economics, Economics of Crime, Environmental Economics, and Political Economy.

Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Insper (Cátedra Fundação Lemann), as a researcher at the Climate Policy Initiative/Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (CPI/PUC-Rio), and as an economic analyst at LCA Consultores, one of Brazil’s leading economic consultancy firms, advising major players across different markets.
