I am Leiboyu Xiang, a PhD candidate in Economic Geography at London School of Economics.

My research lies at the intersection of development, innovation, and the environment. I study how innovation reallocates economic activity across sectors and geography, reshaping local economic structure and regional inequality. I also work on the economic impacts of environmental and climate change. My work uses large-scale and geospatial data with causal spatial empirical analysis to contribute economic geography theory.
