Integrated backglass & DMD dual display. The second and third displays support the 4K playfield for premium integral pinball gameplay. The machine is also equipped with an internal low-latency video switchboard allowing PC OTG access via the three HDMI input ports.

If you'd told me at the beginning of 2021 that I'd review not one but two virtual pinball options for the home, I would have nodded and said, sure, that sounds entirely unsurprising. A replica arcade experience seems like a great antidote for any nerd going stir-crazy in a pandemic. Yet while stand-up arcade multi-cabinets have rarely gotten me excited, virtual pinball is another story.

Put it all together, plug it in, and a monitor lights up across the top to display virtual, pre-installed pinball tables. Tap some buttons to page through an on-screen menu and pick a game, then use a real, physical plunger to launch the ball and side-of-cabinet buttons to work the flippers. Now you're playing virtual pinball.

While that basic description applies to both of the cabinets we recently tested, AtGames wastes no time differentiating itself from the competition. First, its playfield screen is 33 percent bigger: 32 inches versus Arcade1Up's 24 inches. Second, that screen natively renders at 1080p, compared to Arcade1Up's 720p, and it sports much better color calibration. Third, this screen is covered in a full sheet of glass, which looks handsomer than Arcade1Up's plexiglass topper. Fourth, the flipper buttons aren't alone; next to each is a "nudge" button, so you can virtually bonk your table and nudge a pinball where you want it to go instead of relying on an imprecise accelerometer. (Arcade1Up's product doesn't include these nifty nudge buttons.)

Pause, Rewind, Save, and Load functionality allows you to play your favorite pinball tables your way. A built-in d-pad and extra buttons allow for easy menu navigation and additional gameplay options from its interchangeable control panel, with future upgrades for a joystick and trackball available for authentic vertical arcade gameplay. Legends Pinball HD is ready for everything from feature updates to game streaming to leaderboards and competitive play, and so much more.

Through the AtGames Open and Connected Pinball (OCP) initiative, you can connect your pinball engine-enabled external PC to the Legends Pinball HD, utilizing its large, dual-screen display and arcade controls. The Video Input Backglass Switch, or VIBS, is used to connect the PC to the Legends Pinball HD backglass display.

These Zaccaria Pinball Packs are absolutely stunning. Beautiful, bespoke vintage pinball tables made in Italy. These look photo realistic on the AtGames Legends Pinball machine. I can't believe I don't see more people talking about these! I'm going to get every Zaccaria Pinball pack available and this will be something we keep in our house for decades to come.

I saw one other person on here so far mention it but I got my Wave 7 Legends Pinball last night, everything worked great initially, but now I am getting horrendous rattling near the front of the pin where the d-pad/exciters reside. It's almost like the pinball cabinet is trying to use the exciters as a second set of main speakers. If I'm playing a game and happen to get the ball up into a set of bumpers on the play field the ratting becomes absolutely intolerable.

To be clear the built in speakers on the backglass do work just fine, but it's almost like the little speakers in the front/exciters are always stuck on. Even when I turn the pinball cabinet down to 0 volume using the volume down button, the front speakers still play all the audio, albeit a bit garbled and rattling. This next part could be coincidence but the problem only started up after I tried playing one of the vertical shooters on ArcadeNet for the first time. Wondering if that somehow goofed the system and it started treating all on board speakers the same?

Has anyone else encountered this awful audio rattling at the front of the pinball cab and if so have you found a way to fix it without damaging your audio? Any input or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The BitPixel HV is the pinball equivalent of the popular BitPixel for the AtGames Legends Ultimate arcade machine. The Legends BitPixel HV fits easily above the Legends Pinball backglass. It also includes wall-mounts if you prefer to mount it that way. The BitPixel HV only requires a power input and USB cable which attaches to the USB 2.0 port on the ALP. It can display both animated or static marquees and additional content with the PixelcadeX application.

This is the nineteenth (019) in a series of quick 4K gameplay videos of every licensed virtual pinball table available to play on the AtGames Legends Pinball machine, one of the most value-packed home systems. I'll play these in menu order (for the most part), except in the case of these newer Deluxe tables, which have jumped to the front of the line.

Thanks for the link. We've been waiting to see how this new version turns out compared to the old version. We thought this could be a good addition to add the arcade controllers to for arcade games. Being pinball also is a bonus. It's bigger than the arcade1up so that's a plus because those look like junk for $750 retail.

This could be pretty cool depending on how it's executed. I'd expect it to be underwhelming though due to past experiences with the technology. There is just a history of having underpowered hardware in consumer grade equipment. It'd be fine for the neighborhood kids to come play a few games on but I guarantee it won't be a gratifying experience for anyone that enjoys regular pinball. I hope I'm wrong because I completely loved the pinball arcade on PS3 and steam and played the crap out of it. I've just owned the arcade 1 up Williams game and it was a laggy piece of poop. I expect the same here.

But also if they are using the same old model, you were allowed to buy the tables and keep em, the subscription service is just like a netflix of pinball where you get access to the whole library available as long as your subbed. But if you wanted just a particular table you could buy it.

This is why the ATgames are great in that they support OTG out of the box.

Just connect a PC to it and play any game you want off FX3, or VPX. You don't need to do any huge modifications or such like the 1up, they come already and software compatible to run games off your own collection

I'm not going to lie, the new 4KP version of the ALP is going to be the defacto virtual pin option on the market. It makes no sense to spend time and money building your own any longer. The 4KP model is pretty much everything most people need and now with the Zen partership you can buy the overwhelming majority of virtual pins that exists on Pinball FX today.

Also the form factor and measurements of the 4KP model are much larger than the last gen model. Also, 4KP includes 4K @ 60hz screen, larger back box, larger backbox screen, dedicated DMD, 3.5" speakers, upgraded SOC/CPU (way more powerful), physical solenoids etc.. Its a real good value and with the Zen partnership there really is NO need to upgrade or do mods or OTG mode unless you want to run VPX.

Any physical purist pinheads who are mildly interested in virtual pinball will probably pick this up.

Hello everyone,

I'm a little worried about getting into this new ALP4K product. but due to the experience I have had with Zen Pinball. Zen pinball has tremendous tables and many varieties as many know but not all are accessible depending on the console or provider. For example, some of the tables that they have in the Nintendo Wii's Zen Pinball are not in VR or on the computer, etc... what worries me is what will be the tables that the new ALP4K console from Zen Pinball will offer? ?. Could it be that they only have a few? Or will they bring all the ones they have in inventory? I understand that you will have to buy the packages again, but will they be packages that I would like to have? It is the detail and my wonder why after investing in a virtual machine about $1.3K in the end they never offer the themes that I would like to have directly on the machine, without needing to use OTG. ff782bc1db
