After concluding this pre-game exchange, each player will receive a mana gem. However, only one player will get the attack token while the other receives the defence token. The player with the attack token will commence the game with this offensive while the other defends.

At the end of each round, the players switch their tokens and pick a random card from the deck. As the rounds progress, there will be multiple exchanges of the symbols and more card draws. This thing results in an increase of mana gems per player, but only up to a maximum of 10.

Besides, any unused mana will become spell mana. Each player can only hold up to a maximum of three spell mana. The players can use this mana to cast spell cards.

To activate the cards, you need to use mana gems. You also have to position your champion and follower cards forward to attack or defend. If your opponent does not have cards that defend against your attack, you can deal more damage. Perhaps even hit his nexus.

On the other hand, if you have defending cards, you will block his attacking cards. The two opposing cards will clash and deal with damage to one another. For every damage received by each card, it will drain its health stat until it destroyed.
