1. What is Legacy, and what does it do?
Legacy is an iOS application designed to help you preserve and share your memories, messages, and important moments with your loved ones. The app provides a secure and intuitive way to create, store, and manage personal content, including text messages, voice memos, photos, and videos that can be shared with selected recipients.
2. What types of content can I create with Legacy?
Legacy supports four main types of content:
- *Text Messages*: Write and format personal messages with a rich text editor
- *Voice Memos*: Record and save voice messages with real-time waveform visualization
- *Photos*: Capture and store photos with the built-in camera
- *Videos*: Record and save video messages with playback controls
3. How do I share my content with others?
Legacy uses a recipient management system where you can add, edit, and organize recipients with their contact information. You can mark important recipients as favorites for quick access, and share your content only with explicitly selected recipients. Content is never shared automatically or with unintended recipients.

4. How secure is my personal content in Legacy?
Legacy takes user privacy very seriously. All content is stored securely both locally on your device and in the cloud (Firebase Storage). The app uses administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. Content is only shared with recipients you explicitly select, and the app requires camera and microphone permissions only when actively using those features.
5. Where is my data stored?
Your content is stored in two places:
- *Local Storage*: Content remains on your device and is subject to your device's security measures
- *Cloud Storage*: Content can be securely uploaded to Firebase Storage for backup and sharing purposes
6. Can I control who sees my content?
Yes, absolutely. Legacy gives you complete control over content sharing. You must explicitly select recipients for each piece of content you want to share. The app includes recipient management features where you can add, edit, organize recipients, and mark favorites for quick access.

7. What are the system requirements for Legacy?
To use Legacy, you need:
- iOS 15.0 or later
- Compatible iPhone or iPad
- Internet connection for cloud features
- Camera and microphone permissions for photo/video and voice memo features
8. What languages does Legacy support?
Legacy currently supports:
- *English (en)* - Base language
- *Mexican Spanish (es-MX)* - Español (México)
The app automatically uses your device's system language setting. You can change the language by going to iOS Settings → General → Language & Region.
9. Do I need an internet connection to use Legacy?
While you can create and store content locally without an internet connection, you'll need internet access for:
- Cloud backup and storage
- Sharing content with recipients
- Account creation and login
- Premium feature access

10. Does Legacy have inspiration prompts to help me create content?
Yes! Legacy includes an Inspiration section with various categories to help spark ideas for your content:

- Hobbies
Each inspiration card provides a prompt with a "Use This Idea" button that opens options to create content via camera, writing, or voice recording.
11. Can I edit or delete content after creating it?
Yes, you have full control over your content. You can review, modify, or delete any content you've created and stored within the app at any time through the content management features.
12. Does Legacy work offline?
Legacy can function in offline mode for basic content creation and viewing locally stored content. However, cloud features like backup, sync, and sharing require an internet connection.
Premium Features & Pricing
13. Is Legacy free to use?
Legacy offers both free and premium features. The app includes core functionality for creating and storing content locally. Premium features, accessed through in-app purchases, include enhanced cloud storage capabilities and advanced sharing options. The app uses Superwall for subscription management.
14. How do I restore my premium subscription if I reinstall the app?
If you've previously purchased a premium subscription, you can restore it by:
1. Logging into your account
2. The app will automatically detect and restore your subscription status
3. If you encounter issues, contact support
